Phone had no dial tone, no blackout curtains. Our 2nd night consisted of virtually no sleep as there was yelling and slamming doors around 3AM. The ice machine was located on level 2, with no signage and in a laundry room in a corner, when I opened the only door available I didn’t even see the tiny machine. I started to go back to my room but decided to take another look.

The staff was very nice and willing to help. They made all efforts to send codes to make getting into the room a breeze since the office isnt open pass 10. Yes it is an older property but clean.

Updated doesn’t mean Safe or Comfy
I was intrigued with the idea of an updated and refurbished motel, sort of a “Schitts Creek” experience. But a coat of paint and updated lamps does not a “refurbished motel” make. I should’ve known this wouldn’t be comfortable for $50 a night, but I ended up abandoning the reservation and staying elsewhere. The pillows were super thin, the window wasn’t properly sealed so you could hear all the noise from the shady characters wandering around outside, the blinds didn’t fully fit the window, so there was a 3” gap that anyone could see into from outside. There was a floodlight right outside the door that showed brightly into the room, making sleep nearly impossible. The bathroom wasn’t thoroughly cleaned (there was a blue streak of the previous guests shampoo(?) dripping down the tile) and they don’t use any keys, so if you happen to forget to set the deadbolt inside (maybe your kid came in from outside) anyone can just open the door.

Room Decor is nice but gives kinda run down room vibes still. Can hear People outside talking and doors slamming. Really sketchy at night… People hanging out in the parking lot, standing outside watching other people… We listened to someone outside laughing super creepy and loud. The 2 women staff was nice but the guy was kinda an a-hole. room was cheap which was convenient you kinda get what u pay for here.

Good value for the price - unit is renovated but not to the highest quality. But again the price is right. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It was definitely a good experience for a motel.

Staff were very friendly and I like the idea of modernizing an old motel. the room was updated and had good heating, comfy beds, and tv options. Outside there were a bunch of people wandering about, smoking (our window wouldn’t quite close so it came in a bit), and someone was taken away in an ambulance in the middle of the night.

Andrea at the front desk was super friendly and helpful! Great location - walking distance to good eats and a local comedy club! Comfortable beds and clean rooms. Will definitely stay again!

Great rooms and prices
Really great renovated rooms for a decent price. Carlos the manager and his staff were very welcoming and helpful upon arrival. They even made space for us to park our 24foot rv in the parking lot. They definitely go above and beyond to help you feel comfortable and welcomed.

Staff were fantastic and quick. They made it as easy as possible to check in and out and were extremely polite. Room was what you'd expect for the price. Only complaint I have is outside of the motels control. People were reving engines as they drove pass all night.

We were going to a venue and Modern Motel was close and looked nice on their website. We stayed there just one night and it was great. The rooms are all newly renovated and I like the fact they have keypad entrance to your room. Carlos the GM is very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

SUPER friendly front desk staff. The room was nicer than I expected, however it could have been cleaned better along the bed and wall. 10/10 would recommend, though.

Dirty, dirty, room
The receptionist was very nice. They had Netflix. The police arrived right after we checked you could them arguing with a guest. The room was gross super dirty, dirty, dirty. Did I say dirty!!!!! The floor was not even swept. Found someone nail, hair tie. We went and got cleaning supplies of our own to clean the shower, floor, and sink. The coffee pot had a very alive bug in it. So we bought a coffe pot. Soooooo will all the investment we made in cleaning supplies. We really did save much. Do not recommend if you like a clean motel room. Why didn’t we leave. To tired to keep looking for a different place.

Downtown Colorado Springs hideaway deal
I wanted to stay in downtown colorado spring to explore that part of town and found this motel. It was retro cool and at a great value. It is close to everything so we could walk everywere to find all the fun restuarant and clubs. The staff was very friendly and easy going.

Dirty, dirty, dirty. I'm not sure if I should fire the manager, or the housekeeper.
Our room was very dirty to say the least. So much dirt and stuff on the floors. The walls were black with dirt. I clean the toilet before we could even use it. The air conditioner did not work. We were hot all night. Thankfully I brought a fan with me. We're staying in room 104. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I did not like very much of anything, our room smelled like cigarette smoke, the room was filthy, the toilet was clogged couldn't get it addressed until the morning. The outside walkways are filthy in need of power washing and vacuuming.I wouldn't recommend this place to stay even for one night.
