Hummingbird Cottage - centre-ville de Manitou Springs

Le Hummingbird Cottage à Agate Hill est un chalet en duplex avec un porche couvert, un salon, une cuisine et 2 chambres: 1 lit king, 2 lits jumeaux configurés comme lit gigogne, 1 salle de bain. La kitchenette a un petit réfrigérateur de bonne taille, micro-ondes, cafetière. La cuisine a une antiquité décorative (ça ne marche pas!). Café thé. Si vous avez besoin d'une cuisine entièrement équipée pour ce cottage twin, le chèvrefeuille peut être réservé en utilisant ce lien vrbo: Vrbo 1348481

Tous nos chalets disposent d'un lit king-size Select Comfort avec des chambres supplémentaires avec lits doubles ou lits jumeaux. Nos chalets sont confortables avec des poêles à bois Parlor, la climatisation et des cuisines. Nos salles de bains à l'ancienne ont des baignoires / douches sur pieds (ou sans griffes) originales pour tremper les pieds fatigués si vous faites de la randonnée sur la pente ou sur nos nombreux sentiers. Nous avons WiFI haut débit, TV HD, lecteurs DVD, DVD assortis, Chromecast et Hulu Live TV.

Le quartier historique d'Agate Hill est situé au centre-ville de Manitou Springs. Nous sommes sur la colline, donc la vue est superbe sur une rue résidentielle calme. Nous avons presque un acre de jardins. Selon la façon dont vous comptez, nous sommes à environ 6 maisons à distance de marche du bureau de poste et du centre-ville. Nous avons 3 chalets sur la propriété et pouvons accueillir 14 personnes au total. Manitou est vallonné, alors attendez-vous à des marches et des escaliers. Nous sommes une propriété orientée vers les adultes, ce qui signifie que nous accueillons des enfants plus âgés bien surveillés; pour être honnête si vous avez des enfants plus jeunes, les propriétés qui ont des aires de jeux et des piscines sont plus adaptées. Notre propriété est sans drogue et sans fumée dans son intégralité.

Le propriétaire habite sur la propriété et nous présentons des œuvres d'art locales de Manitou par Tina et Ken Riesterer.

Cute place. Very comfortable and quaint. Check in was easy. Great access to town. The kitchen is nice but you will not be cooking anything meals. Lovely porch to sit and enjoy the veil and garden.

Quaint, generally clean but a few things to know...

Clean and cute little place. Generally fine. Feedback: I wish I would have realized the bathroom could only be accessed via the second bedroom before i rented it, and that the walls were so thin for the second cottage unit. Also, parking and walkway and stairs to the unit not the most ideal for anyone with knee or other issues. A little updating to the surround and shower curtains might improve the shower experience, as well as a mirror in the main bedroom. But all in all, good experience, and it was clean and comfortable. Nice stay.

Great location

This cute cottage is close to everything there is to do in Manitou. John, the property owner/manager was very responsive and me us when we arrived and delivered our luggage to the cottage. The place is really cute and decorated appropriately for the age of the home. Bed was comfortable. Sitting on the front porch with a cocktail was our favorite spot to relax and view the town. The only negtive comment I have is about the bathtub/shower. It is an old fashioned clawfoot tub with a curtain surrounding it on all sides. While very cute, the high sides made it difficult to get in, and there is nothing to grab onto to steady yourself. Definitely not for anyone with any kind of mobility isssues. All in all though, we had a great weekend and enjoyed the cottage.

Charming Cottage

This was a great little property for our visit to Manitou! Short walk to downtown and all the happenings there, and easy access to the shuttles for the Manitou Incline and Pike's Peak Cog Rail. For those who might have some physical limitations, the cottage sits atop a steep street, so the walk can be challenging. It won't stop us from staying there in the future, but an FYI. It actually helped burn the calories from all the great restaurants! John, the owner, was great! He met us out on the sidewalk when we pulled up and was thorough in sharing everything we needed to ensure our stay was perfect. We highly recommend staying here!

Excellent location and beautiful home!

Everything was just about perfect. We will rent there again when we come back to the area! The only minor issue was that we got to Manitou very late, around midnight, and had not eaten all day. However, the host greets you when you get there and lets you in. To avoid getting there even later, we drove to Manitou from Denver as soon as we got our rental car. By the time we got there and checked in no restaurant was open. Self-checkin would make it much more convenient. So if you are getting there, and need to eat, plan accordingly!

Cute house!

We came for the Pikes Peak marathon and the house location couldn’t be more perfect. We could walk to start n finish, registration, and even to lunch n dinner. King bed n bedding very comfortable! Towels are great quality.

My husband and I loved our stay at the Hummingbird Cottage. It was the perfect location to explore Manitou, walk to the incline, and drive to Colorado Springs. John was a wonderful host and we would definitely stay here again!

Awesome property, great location and friendly owner!

My girlfriend and I had never stayed in Manitou Springs before, so we didn’t know a lot about the location but rented this cottage hoping it would be a nice place and good location and both were perfect! The cottage had everything we needed and was a nice place to hang out and sleep between outings. The owner was also very friendly and met us at the gate early and we continued to run into him randomly throughout the trip and he was always very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend! Thank you for everything! :)

Property was just as advertised. Owner is very helpful with answering and questions and giving pointers on where to go that isn’t as busy. We did t have any issues so we didn’t require calling on him during our stay except on check in

Everything was just perfect. The only thing I will do next time is stay in the full kitchen unit. The hosts are sweethearts and offered guidance for anything I needed but I really didn’t need anything because it was perfectly set up. There just aren’t enough thing I could say other than if you see this available, don’t pass it by. Book it and you will be thankful you did.

Loved our stay in John’s cottage. The cottage is perfect walking distance to anything you need. We absolutely loved our stay and look forward to returning sooner than later. Manitou Springs is a little piece of heaven — much to do!!

Outstanding Experience

We spent five days and four nights at Hummingbird Cottage. The location in Manitou Springs is amazing--only about a block from downtown and less than a mile from the trailheads to the Intemann Trail, Barr Trail, and the Manitou Incline. This historic property is beautiful and well-maintained. The owner, John, is a terrific guy who lives on site. He is great with communication and instructions and responds to questions promptly. Our family had a great experience and will definitely be back.

Quiet and peaceful

The Hummingbird Cottage is a beautiful place to stay, and John is a wonderful host along with his dog, Morty. This location is perfect for walking around Manitou Springs, but be prepared for the hills! They are steep! It’s also the perfect location to sit outside overlooking the garden while reading or enjoying morning coffee! Perfect stay!

Lovely duplex two blocks from downtown

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hummingbird Cottage. The duplex was cozy with two bedrooms, a small kitchen, bathroom and living room. We spent hours sitting on the front porch enjoying the gardens, views and occasional hummingbird or butterfly. John was very friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed occasional visits from his dogs. It took us about five minutes (max) to walk downtown. A few more to walk back, since it's up a pretty steep hill. The location was quiet and peaceful and we'd definitely stay again.

Convenient and quiet retreat

Our stay at John's cottage was very pleasant. We especially enjoyed the quiet street, closeness to downtown Manitou Springs eateries, and sitting on the porch each night watching the moon rise. A plus was our host's super friendly dog Morty who paid us the honor of quiet, affectionate visits. Expect a quiet retreat with comfortable beds and good air conditioning -- be prepared for bathroom features (including a claw foot tub!) that might not please everyone but are perfectly adequate.

My son and I were in Colorado Springs to film a commercial. John's AirB&B was our weekend. An old friend of mine from Utah joined us. Manitou Springs is very touristy, historically. But this place is an authentic historic building. I spent most of my time on the porch just staring. Beware Mortie the dog will steal your heart.

Total Gem!!

Very accurate listing. The check in process was perfect. John is an attentive host and a very nice human in general! The location is superb. The cottage is in a quite residential area, but a very short walk to the historic downtown. I did a lot of hiking during my trip - no need to fight the parking near the Incline and Barr Trail, just walk from the cottage then you can grab a burger on your way back. The cottage was very clean, the water warm with good pressure and the Sleep Number bed was comfortable. I highly recommend this property and host. I hope very much to get back to Manitou Spring - if I do, I will be staying here again.

Relaxing

We enjoyed our stay at the Hummingbird Cottage. Clean, quiet, beautiful yard with tree flowering in September, great location. we walked to the Incline in 15 minutes which is the perfect warm up. John knows the area well and that helped us in choosing activities and restaurants.
