Home was very clean. Our issue was we are both disabled and nothing mentioned in the that this unit is an upper and lower unit with several straight up stairs which caused a great amount of discomfort for both of up. I tried contacting the management upon arrival regarding our issues. The bathroom door also had a large hole at the bottom of the door. The curtains in the living room are not properly hung up. We were not giver the access code for the WiFi nor did we have access to a BBQ grill. Not ever a broom to sweep up the kitchen floor. There was also not enough towels for a week for two adults if you prefer to shower daily. You also need to be very careful around the fireplace as it has very sharp corners. It gets very hot downstairs as the only air conditioner is upstairs in the bedroom. We never received a call back from management even though a message was sent and also left messages when we called.
Our dates were actually 4-13 to 4-28. We left 4-26. It's titled "Colorado Crafthouse Workspace". My husband was unable to use it as a workspce because there were no instructions or password for the Internet. We came in on 4-14 and 4-15 requested a password. There was no communication until 4-27. The day after we left. We had to go off-site for my husband to work. The house itself is in need of multiple repairs including a soft nathroom floor that sinks away from the shower bed, a soft shower bed that allows mold to seep into the shower and pools in that corner rather than drain. The bathroom door was chewed up on the bottom. The garbage disposalbacked uo whenever we ran the dishwasher and was impossible to clean out. A major construction problem were the stairs to the bedroom and kitchen. The landing slumped towards the stairs giving you a feeling of falling backwards or towards the stairs.I don't believe this property measures up to VRBO's reputation.
Walking distance to many great food choices. Police station right across street so felt safe. Located in perfect spot to travel to any place in central Colorado. We did day trips to Denver and Breckenridge with no issue.
Overall, we had a great stay! The location is pretty convenient. Thereâs several great places within a short walk - I recommend White Pie pizza and Denver Biscuit Co! Then after a 20+ min walk is the main little downtown. There were some homeless folks and a few⊠under the influence Iâd say but it was across from the police station so we never felt unsafe. Good space and looks like pictures. The host was very responsive and provided a parking pass for our vehicle. The only thing was the ceiling is low on the stairs so my husband had to duck everytime and the floors are VERY creaky so he woke me up everytime he moved around but for the price, it was a good find and we would stay again.
This little town home has everything you need for a homey stay in Colorado Springs. Thereâs a window unit in the bedroom (for those of us that need the AC) and plenty of fans to cool us down. The stairs are a little steeper than expected. Snacks and beverages provided were welcomed and appreciated. We would love to stay again if weâre ever back in the neighborhood.
Pros: excellent communication with property manager, comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchen, extra blankets, games, and fans, police station across the street.
Cons: steep and narrow steps, galley bathroom, downstairs bathroom (for anyone that gets up during the night), small window unit upstairs, bathroom gets hot after showering with no exhaust, the area has a lot of homeless people a couple of blocks away.
The tvâs and coffee pot didnât work. After troubleshooting, the tvâs needed new remote batteries. A new coffee pot and extra batteries were delivered. I had to drive 12 minutes the 1st morning to get coffee. The property manager is on top of all requests.
