« Check in was not friendly or welcoming but reasonably efficient. Got to the room and it smelled very musty. Then noticed the carpet was very wet in front of the bathroom. The tv was on when I arrived. Bed was comfortable enough. When I went to shut the tv off it would not shut off. I finally unplugged it. Breakfast was very basic and equipment not clean looking. « I’m conflicted with this hotel. It’s a beautiful and unique hotel. I loved the design and the history. The staff were nice enough but for as dead as it was they weren’t always around. For example, you can order food or a drink and you will get it and then they disappear. To the point it’s annoying. « This is an older property given a coat of paint and new furniture. It was clean. The HVAC allowed humid air and road noise into the room. The shower was nicer than average (mild stream) even if some of the fixtures were loose. The breakfast was adequate. The check-in clerk was chatting on the phone leaving us waiting. The bed was better than average, but do bring a night light. On the whole, I'll give it a solid middle of the road "3" rating. In other words, I'd stay there again. »

« Wonderful country get-away! Rooms were clean and quaint. The farm was so fun to explore with lots of recycled metal sculptures throughout. Cute and friendly farm cats were a wonderful surprise! The hot breakfast (egg bake, warm Bundt coffee cake and fresh cut Georgia peaches) was the best breakfast I’ve had in a LONG time.
