« This was our second stay at this magical property! We were there for a long weekend with adult kids and one high schooler. Everyone had had a bit of a stressful Fall and the home in its gorgeous was the cure for what ailed us. Gorgeous, super fun, creatively designed house with some of the best views I've seen anywhere, even on gray days. Convenient to lots of great hiking and mountain biking as well as kayaking/canoeing and (for the hardier souls) swimming. Highly recommend! »

« As soon as I saw the enclosed porch I knew it would be perfect. And the rest of the house was wonderful too, warm, clean, comfortable. This was our 1st trip to northern Maine. Here for the solar eclipse. And we will be back to this beautiful home away from home. »

« Adorable and welcoming from the moment we stepped in the door. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Although our group was small, it can easily accommodate a large group. Kids would love it! General store next door is a delight. Walking distance into town for shops and restaurants. Owner was very responsive and easy to communicate with. 10/10 »

« Our family gathered here for the 2024 solar eclipse and could not have asked for a better place. The property is quiet, well-maintained, clean, and beautiful. The property owner is responsive and helpful. We lucked out with great weather: sunny and clear views of Katahdin, with ice still on the lake and piles of snow from a spring snowstorm. This property would have been great with any weather. Cannot recommend highly enough »

« Beautiful, clean location for our 32nd anniversary. Very enjoyable cabin, loved the firepit by the lake. Well stocked kitchen, except needs a strainer for cooking pasta and draining food items. We appreciated being able to use the owners dock to tie up our boat. Biggest complaint, the lake needs to produce more trout and salmon, and less bass and perch! (Like you can change that, right?). »

« The home had most everything that we needed. Loved the location on the lake and the proximity to Baxter State Park and Millinocket! It was quite comfortable. The window blinds need to be replaced so that they are easier to raise and lower, but that is minor. Note that the cold and hot water controls in the lower level shower are reversed. »

« Je suis encore outrée d’avoir payé si cher pour cet hotel. Rien ne justifie le prix! Il y a un odeur desagreable dans les couloir et l’aire centrale(piscine). Au dejeuner, le choix est restreint. Donc on prend des céréales, il n’y a aucune cuillère, personne à l’acceuil à cette heure… je comprend le 2 etoiles mais je ne comprend vraiment pas comment ils peuvent charger ce prix! À eviter absoluement! »

« Room was very comfortable and having microwave, refrigerator and coffee pot was an added benefit. Very quiet so must have solid walls and good insulation. We were very pleased with mostly everything. Towels, coffee, cleaning was not provided one day, but we did not leave room until noon, so maybe services aren’t available after noon. »
