The rambler.. what a nice surprise. We we’re there at the very beginning of our honeymoon Roadtrip. It’s like an old motel boosted with color and fun stuff. Also the cafe/arcade add to the pleasure but I would say that the best thing was the people and the staff that was so kind and welcoming. Thanks again.

This property was very cute, close to San Diego, and everywhere we wanted to be for our SoCal vacation. The only thing I wish the hotel had was a small fridge to keep cold drinks and/or food.

I stayed here for 1 night and it was a comfortable stay. Although we did not spend too much time in our room. The room was clean and comfortable. It was perfect for our needs. I traveled with ny husband and 6 year old daughter.

The place looked great but the plumbing was not the best. Also, I understand their policy but I wish sometimes they would reconsider the canceling fee if you’ve only been there for 40 minutes and you do not feel comfortable staying there for whatever reason such as plumbing issues.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Rambler! The room was delightful - clean and with everything I needed. Tbe bed was huge and comfy! The property itself was very well maintained and the staff were lovely! The location was absolutely perfect for me too, right next to both bus and trolley stops. I am already in the process of reserving a room for my next trip!

Great place, would be nice if the rooms had a mini fridge and a microwave. But overall a nice place and great staff.

This is a well managed and cared for property. It’s an older building, but it’s cared for. It offers a great vibe and the hotel staff and cafe staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The rooms are small, but provide you with the necessities and the beds are comfy with lots of pillows. The property is not close to any relevant beaches or attractions, but It is right of the I-5 and it has the transit train station a block away. I’d stay at the rambler again without thinking twice.

The unique charm this motel had throughout their themed, the small little details made the difference in staying here. We loved the swimming with a movie at night, having a fireplace to keep warm at night and being able to make smores was very nice.

We were very pleasantly surprised that the property is even better than the website. The rooms are small, but the total facility is wonderful. The location is close to interstate five but totally quiet, conveniently located They even have QR codes on all the furniture around the pool to order from their coffee shop which is great! We will definitely stay here again.

Good location to get around all areas of San Diego, it has lots of dining options a block away, they also offer a discount to guest to the cafe which is awesome in the mornings. Friendly staff and always clean. We have stayed for the past 3 years and always enjoy our stay.

Very clean and well presented motel with an upmarket feel . Staff very friendly. What is a real bonus is it is with in walking distance of the trolley (metro,) station and you can travel all over the city for $8

The property was cute and clean, and the bed was comfortable. It was very loud at night when I stayed. I was in for a conference and didn’t sleep well because of it being loud at night and being able to hear loud conversations outside my room and the room next-door to me throughout the night. I would recommend a coffee pot, Mini – refrigerator, and microwave for the room. Parking was very limited close to my room as well.

We loved staying at the Rambler for our week in San Diego! Such a cute vibe with very comfy beds and a great shower! Only things I would recommend would be a small fridge and microwave for more convenient an cost effective meal planning, and parking was hard to come by if you were staying in a room near the lobby and did not return til later in the evenings.

I can’t wait to stay here again! I’m obsessed with this hidden gem. The service was amazing the staff, the food etc. My daughter and I had the best time. I’m already planning my next trip! I highly recommend this hotel.
