Les points forts : Arrivée, communication, emplacement et exactitude de l’annonce
Les points faibles : Propreté
The location of the property was fabulous. More centralized to everything on the island than the map indicated, or that we expected. The view of Assateague was excellent and the ponies came out on the marsh on two different days just across from our porch. We loved the view from the screened porch and spent many hours watching island life from there. We had a couple of issues when we first arrived: the A/C wasn’t working correctly, but an email/phone call to the management company took care of it the same day. The shower door on the upstairs hallway bath was off the track and dangerous. The lady as Harbour Rentals was ready to send a repairman, but we declined because we could share a shower and didn’t want to wait around the townhouse. Our biggest concerns were in the kitchen. The coffee pot flooded the cabinet and was filthy. We bought a new one and left for the next guest. Sadly, the dishes and pots and pans were not clean at all. The dried food had to be washed off of each item we used. It could be that the dishwasher needs serviced, but the coffee pot just needs to be trashed.

My husband's & my stay at Tern Inn Sept 1-15, 2024

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at Tern Inn every year for a number of the past years, four or five, & we have booked for next year. We love staying there. We love the porch overlooking the Channel. I sit there enjoying the view of Assateague Island. Sometimes the ponies are out & about. I bring a pile of books & just read, read, read. We read the New York Times & Washington Post daily & the Island Foods Grocery put aside copies for us each day. And then there are the beach & the wildlife loop on Assateague. staying there is a great chance to slow down & relax.

We miss it already!!!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We come back to Chincoteague every year, and always stay at different places. This has been one of our favorites yet! Very clean, great view! Everything you need to stay for a week! It was just my husband and I, but easily could have comfortably had more people stay with us. Loved the double balconies. We ate outside pretty much all week when we weren't "out" to eat. Very reasonably priced as well. Fishing was a little rough from the docks because the dock sits back between the neighbors and the current was very strong so we didn't get to do much fishing from there and went elsewhere. All in all, we'd definitely stay here again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was very comfortable and well maintained. The location and view was fantastic. Being able to walk to Memorial Park was great! The home was very well stocked with cooking, eating and drinking supplies. The only thing that bothered us were the large dust balls that came out from under the furniture when we opened windows/doors. I’m very allergic so we had to vacuum the entire place immediately.

Tern Inn

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We used this home for extended family for overflow from our home in Cjinmcoteague. It was clean and conveniently located and we loved having the dock right off the back. We even caught a "keeper" flounder! Suggestions: The mattress in the primary bedroom was very uncomfortable. The screened porch was a lovely idea but it's inset location blocked the nice breezes off the water. Perhaps a fan would improve circulation. Finally, no trash bags of dishwasher soap was provided and while we were able to supply our own, this seemed to send the wrong message about cleaning.
