Disappointing for Viceroy
We love this hotel brand in general. But the service here was clearly disappointing: 1-upon check-in, the receptionist was clearly disturbed by the idea of two men sharing a bed in the same room, and was very clumsy about it 2-some clothes of previous customers were left in the cupboards. Not very reassuring Luckily, the team at the rooftop bar (Andy the manager in particular) made us feel very welcome and helped us to make our stay memorable for a good reason.

We went for a weekend trip to Chicago and truly enjoyed the place and atmosphere. The room was beautiful as in the picture with clean, new interior. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean and luxurious. The staff were very friendly. We were on 7th floor but we could hear some noise from our room until 1:30am. Otherwise everything was fine. We walked to shopping areas that were within 10-20 minutes walking distances. Great restaurants nearby! Easy access to take a cab to other places. We plan to stay there again!

Great hotel, wondeful service by all mebers of the staff. Nearby dining was good for a few days, but you will likely need to uber or get a ride if you want to try new places after the first 2 days.

it was not what I thought it’ll be. For a 4 star hotel & the Amt of money. It’s not worth it. U have to pay for everything. They even charged us for a bottle of water that was in the room. nothing is complimentary. A worst first impression for sure. I’ve stayed at 2-3 star hotels & had way better experience. the beds are not even soft. this hotel is a hoax for sure.

I decided to splurge a little for my trip to Chicago and did not regret choosing the Viceroy to do so. The room was clean and the staff helpful and courteous. The location was near several bus stops and a few minutes' walk to the closest subway station.

This is a beautiful hotel in the heart of Chicago. I was so impressed by the room and the room upgrade! I used to live in Chicago and coming back to this city and staying at the Viceroy was just perfect. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. Breakfast at Summerhouse was lovely.

Staff were exceptional. Location is excellent. Rooms are average. In my room the mattress was passed its best, the sink drain was blocked, and the room not as clean as I would like. Somerset (restaurant) has a limited menu, and is average. Way better food options across the street -Bellevue.

Das Personal war ausgesprochen zuvorkommend und hilfreich. Die Einrichtung sowohl des Zimmers als auch des sonstigen Hotels war sehr schön. Das Zimmerupgrade war nicht verfügbar, dafür gab es Wein und Süßwaren auf's Zimmer. Das Zimmer war sehr groß und hatte eine tolle Fensterfront mit Blick - durch eine Hochhausgasse - zum See. Insgesamt ein sehr schönes Hotel in sehr guter Lage, in dem wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt haben. Wir würden immer wiederkommen.

The Viceroy staff is beyond friendly and courteous. David’s customer service in particular stands out. It’s conveniently located to everything & just a few blocks from Oak St Beach. I enjoyed morning walks along Lake Michigan.

Viceroy is a true five star experience in a tight package. They have certainly figured out how to deliver a warm and luxurious stay while continuing to feel boutique and accessible. Small moments like a kind welcome letter, lobby Easter egg hunt, and friendly service made for a tremendous stay I’d recommend to anyone. The neighborhood is nice, polished, and can be potentially quiet. However, in a short walk, you can find yourself in the mix of Chicago’s top attractions. Overall, this property was terrific and I would love to discover the others now.

Amazing rooms, location, and stay! The staff was so friendly and helpful, making check-in super easy and offering plenty of suggestions for things to do in the city. Our room was BEAUTIFUL, the bed was so plush and cozy. My favorite part was the bathroom which featured a deep bathtub, standing shower, and heated floors. Such a nice touch! The hotel was in a great location with plenty of dining and shopping options in walking distance and a restaurant on location in case the weather is bad. This place was amazing and I definitely would return or recommend to others.

Valet even though it’s $100 very convenient to park your car and walk to Michigan Ave, good food selection, nice lake and skyscraper view, cons : tub was moldy and dirty shut off valves broken and when we forgot our ipad in the room after checkout and tracked it to the hotel it was shortly disabled to locate it furthermore, was surprised this happened, I called about 5x between front desk and security with no call backs just what seems like a stolen iPad very disappointed

Viceroy Hotel was a beautiful boutique stylebhotel. The staff at check-in was AMAZING!! The hotel ambiance was a 10! Room with city/lake view was beautiful day or night. I will definitely put this in my hotel top 5 category and will visit again soon.

Generally good, but minor issues like stains on the couch pillows that appear to be human “fluids” and linen for the pullout couch not being available in the room. They did bring linen upon request and the room was as pictured and expected. In general a solid place to stay.

The staff was so friendly and amazing I love how the hotel is right by everything. I booked here for a staycation to get away and I will defly be back.
