« The staff at the blue jay pub were absolutely lovely and so helpful ,all i have to say is probably a member of staff needs to be alocated in the hotel to save keep walking to the pub to get extra milk ,sugar and toilet roll ,oh and the doors from the hotel room doors are the most loud and scary ones being slammed for hours and hours on end and the floor from the room above us we were room 108 is the most loudest floor heard every footstep all around there rokm so came back from weekend stay...

« A lovely place very near Derby and easily accessible. Room was spacious and clean. The staff were amazing and very helpful. Will definitely be staying again. »

« Excellent hotel, service is great, food in pub is spot on. One word of warning, and this is an expedia issue is that the pin location that they have set for this hotel is 1.8 miles off, meaning if you are there for an event you are 35-40 minutes walk away from where you thought you was. Very misleading. Not the hotels fault but there is nowhere else to put this. Hotel was spot on, thank you »

« Room was quiet but a bit tired.comfy bed but could hear tv next door.staff were excellent and breakfast was delicious.all round a pleasant stay. »

« The room was clean, well furnished and had a cozy feel. We would stay here again, however, there were some minor issues. The toilet flush ran continuously and was audible at night. The cover over the shower plughole was broken and the lead on the kettle was too short and had to be used on the floor. Also the mattress was too firm for us. »

« Good sized room and the bed was huge. The rooms are above the bar area which was fine as its wasn't too noisy. The car parking is easy as there is loads of space. I used this location as it was a short drive to the Water Sports Centre in Nottingham. the kitchens close about 8:30 ish so if you are late back for food I can recommend the Indian about 100mtrs down the road. All in all a nice location for a few days away »

« Arrived after food service had stopped but Forest Lodge were very helpful and offered to make us a sandwich. We got a takeaway in the end and they let us borrow their plates and cutlery :) »

« Nous avons eu la chambre N°1 qui est vraiment agréable avec un grand lit confortable. Idéal pour se reposer après une journée de marche. Le soir nous avons diné à l’hôtel en ayant réservé une table. Nous avons attendu 30 minutes avant que quelqu'un prenne notre commande. Et j'ai été déçu par la nourriture, sans doute que je m'attendais à quelque chose d'une plus grand qualité dans ce genre de cadre. En conclusion c'est un lieu vraiment chouette et typique pour séjourné, mais ma mauvaise...

« We came here as I’m sure many do as a base for our Alton Towers adventures. The accommodation is basic but perfectly suited for this. After all we just needed a comfortable place for our family of four (inc. teenagers) to rest, wash and eat breakfast. Service was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was yum and everything was reasonably priced. Thank you! »

« Room 8- the bathroom had a bit of a strange smell. This is just a comment, no a complaint. The main door doesn't always close properly. These are just little things- overall very good. »
