  • Gisleburtus House is an impressive first floor Cotswold holiday apartment which sleeps four guests, in two spacious bedrooms, with two ensuite bathrooms. From the Cotswold stone arches to the Jacobian wooden panelling adorning the walls, every detail has been thoughtfully hand picked by a renowned interior design team to combine these beautiful features with modern luxuries. The spacious living area offers a wonderful haven to relax in front of the cosy fire or enjoy a game at the checkers table. This space boasts high vaulted ceilings wth skylights, allowing the natural light to flow. There is also a private balcony which is perfect for catching the evening sun, and a sought after assigned parking space in a central location in Stow-on-the-Wold. Gisleburtus House oozes sophisticated elegance, ideal for couples or small families!

    This two bedroom holiday apartment is excellently situated for exploring Stow-on-the-Wold on foot, with its many eateries and boutique shops. The accommodation is laid out as follows:

    The maximum occupancy for this property is 4 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 2 additional infants (aged 2 and under)

    The Stow Horse Fair is held twice a year, typically on the Thursday closest to 12th May and the Thursday closest to 24th October, however, we would recommend checking the exact date ahead of placing your booking. This is a traditional fair for gypsies and travelling people to meet up and trade which dates back to 1476 when its Charter was granted. Stow is very busy for a day or two before and after each fair, and a number of shops, pubs and restaurants are closed. Whilst many visitors enjoy the colour and vibrancy associated with the fairs, other visitors prefer to avoid Stow on these dates

When I walked through the door to this apartment it was a wow! Absolutely stunning and spacious, tastefully decorated and very classy and very comfortable. Quiet yet in the centre of Stow. I absolutely loved it and would definitely visit again.

Gisleburtus House December 2025

A beautiful home that provided excellent accommodation facilities in the heart of Stow on the Wold. This property was absolutely stunning and felt like home the minute we walked through the door. The accommodation also provided a reserved car parking space. We had a fantastic few days in the Cotswolds and the property was one of the main reasons for that. We would love to return and will definitely be selecting Gisleburtus House as our place to stay!

A home from home

This is a stunning property, the photos showing the property are spot on, sometimes photos make a property out to be better than what it actually is, not in this case though. The size of the apartment is huge. Location in 2 mins walk from town square which has loads of little bars, shops, and restaurants. Stow on the Wold is an excellent base for a visit to the Cotswolds. I have to give a mention to Callum, the property manager, I had contacted him on two occasions, one looking to see if we could get a little earlier check in, which he was able to accommodate and another issue which was entirely my own doing, he was excellent on each occasion. He left us a welcome pack upon arrival which included some freshly baked bread, butter, and milk. That was nice to get. The property comes with its own off street parking which was brilliant as parking in Stow is hard to come by as it’s a very busy town. I honestly cannot rate this property high enough, everything that we needed was supplied in the property, we were able to cook breakfast each morning, it was definitely a home from home.

Very spacious in a great location

Great location, spacious and comfortable place

With the exception of a small hiccup checking in (cleaning hadn't been completed from prior guest - this was quickly remedied), we had a wonderful stay at Gisleburtus House. The bedrooms and living space were quite spacious, and the place had all the amenities we wanted/needed. It was well located near all shops and restaurants.

Lovely stay in a beautiful clean premises

This house is absolutely beautiful. All very clean, modern and well kept. Perfect location in Stow. We had poor communication from the property manager. We contacted him but he didn't help us with our concerns. We will definitely stay there again though as it was perfect for our needs.

Perfect base for a Girls Weekend in the Cotswolds

After lots of research we chose Gislebertus House for a girls weekend and we're so glad we did. The property is beautiful and so tastefully designed, lots of lovely details. There was plenty of space and a generous L-shaped sofa where we could all curl up. All the rooms were spacious and there were two en-suites plus a separate WC. Having our own parking space in the middle of Stow was really useful and there was plenty of space to turn round. The kitchen was very well equipped and the beds were super comfy. The property was very clean, thank you to whoever prepared it for us. Stow is an excellent location to explore the Cotswolds, we would particularly recommend Rousham House and Gardens and we really enjoyed eating out at The Old Butchers, just a short walk from the house - great food and atmosphere. Communication throughout with StayCotswolds was excellent. Thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Short break at Gisleburtus House

Second year in a row we have stayed here. Tastefully decorated with all you need. Great location close to shops, restaurants etc whilst remaining quiet. Own parking space which is useful as Stow gets busy. No garden of course but we spend lots of time out and about. We shall hopefully return next year.

A beautiful house in the centre of Stow

We had a lovely stay at Gisleburtus House. The house is ideally situated in the centre of Stow in the Wold, with all the amenities the village holds. The house was beautifully decorated, comfortable and large. The beds were extremely comfortable and we had everything we needed for a four night stay.

Arrived, little tricky to find but once we did, wow, what a find! Loved the space and how close it was to everything we could have wanted. Lovely central location, accommodation modern and clean. A week in beautiful Stow

The perfect location for our week in the Cotswolds. The Gisleburtus House apartment is nestled just off the high street with some wonderful pubs cafes & restaurants all within a few minutes of the property. The apartment is incredibly stylish and well decorated throughout. We were very impressed and would definitely book again.

A great hideaway

The perfect hideaway in Stow - easy to walk to everything but quiet location and great to have a parking spot right out front! We loved our stay and that the kitchen was stocked with a few essentials, which fed us breakfast multiple mornings!

Fabulous weekend retreat

Gisleburtus House was a pleasure to stay in over mine & our son’s birthday weekend! It was spotlessly clean, well equipped and lived up to our expectations from the photos on the website. The location is perfect for walking around Stow and a short drive out to other beautiful locations in the Cotswolds. We would totally recommend a stay here.

Wonderful stay

I recently stayed here with my husband and two teenage children and we loved it! It’s a great size, beautifully decorated, and right in the middle of town but tucked back. We could walk to any number of bakeries, restaurants, shops, a farmers market within minutes. I highly recommend this house to couples/ small families!

Could of been Fabulous…

Beautiful thought out apartment .. decorated to a very nice standard.. Excellent location .. parking available on site .. Lovely balcony to enjoy breakfast or a drink in the evenings Cleaning schedule needs to be looked at and checked .. a lot was missed on our arrival .. cupboard drawers and wardrobes also need to be cleaned..I had to clean the tumble dryer too .. Our small bathroom hadn’t been cleaned in weeks.. No starter pack left so bring teabags, milk etc and we were only given 1 dishwasher and laundry tablet each for one week .. I’d rather they had left none .. I prefer staying in accommodation that the owner assists as you get a much better service

Loved this apartment, can’t recommend it highly enough

We loved everything about this apartment. It is clean and comfortable, stylishly decorated and well located for exploring the Cotswolds. The booking process is easy, the instructions are clear and make checking in and out a breeze, and the eggs, bread milk, juice and butter that were left for us was a very thoughtful touch. And the bath towels are big and soft :) Thanks for a wonderful stay!
