This home is situated on the north end of the Black River in a quiet neighborhood. Situated just 6 miles from Cheboygan, you're just minutes from local eateries, retail stores and shops. Grab a cup of coffee at State Street Coffee and then stroll down Main Street to explore our quaint little town. If you're into boating, rent a pontoon at Anchor In Marina and explore Black River, Cheboygan River, Mullet Lake or Lake Huron (on a calm day). If you have a boat, you're welcome to bring it and dock it at the house.
You will have access to the entire house! The front yard boasts 300 feet of space from the deck to the dock and approximately 100 feet of frontage on Black River. You are able to use the dock, but ask that all children under the age of 16 are accompanied by an adult when down by the river. There is a current to be mindful of. Additionally, there's a rather steep hill (no stairs) in the front yard that may not be accessible for some with mobility constraints or health concerns.
You're welcome to park in driveway during your stay. There should be ample room for all guests.

NOTE: Our home does not have air conditioning, which is quite common in norther Michigan. To help mitigate warmer weather, there are ceiling fans in the house and box fans in each bedroom closet. With the elevation, proximity to the river, location on property (built into a hill) and ample windows/door walls, the house enjoys a beautiful breeze from the river and we encourage you to open the windows to enjoy.

We were looking for a house to accommodate our family to celebrate my momâs 71st with plans to attend the lilac festival! This house was perfect! Comfortable, peaceful, large backyard for the kiddos. Beds were so comfortable! Though our weather wasnât the best we still managed to sneak out on deck and enjoy the water views! Only 30 minutes from the ferry! But I canât say enough about our host! They were so very accommodating for our needs! We were welcomed with beautiful bouquet to wish my mom a happy birthday! Thank you for allowing your home to be our home for a special weekend! We offer a pack n play with fresh linens for your little ones, along with an infant bath and portable booster seat with tray. We also offer a noise maker and additional back out curtains to help your little one sleep soundly during your stay. There are two baby gates available to help keep children safe at the top/bottom of the stairs and a bin of baby/toddler toys that are sanitized after every use.
