The room we stayed in this time was much better than the last time. The only real complaint I have is on both stays for 2 days each. The room key had to be reset for the second day as you could not get back in the room without going to the front desk, however, the staff at the front desk immediately resolved the issue.

As I have already stated when first I first arrived at the hotel, this place is dirty!! The room particularly is dirty, in ill repair, noisy (you can hear doors slamming), no cleaning service (bed was not made, towels were not changed, bathroom was not cleaned etc. The breakfast area is pathetic! Coffee-Mate, really! No 1/2 & 1/2 and the coffee is weak weak weak. As far as the food, well, let's just call it industrialized cow or pig feed, There is no quality in the American hotel/motel platform anymore. I would rather pay twice the cost then be subjected to this level of accommodation. Motel Six is better, at least you know not to expect anything from that chain. When I addressed the manager she said that the maintenance man recently left and the new one had not caught up with all the things on the list to fix. Hmm, then why rent those sub-standard rooms? Maybe hire two maintenance men. And, could the rooms not be cleaned? Puzzling at best. In addition, the lounge is not comfortable. It is portrayed as this hip and well decorated place, but is a poorly renovated old building with dark-toned paint colors and dim lighting, so that you cannot see the dirt and grime! I have wasted enough of my time on this. So, my advice, book at the Indigo Hotel instead. Marshall

Dog in next room started barking at 11:20 pm and kept on barking for 20 minutes. Desk clerk called my room 15 minutes after the dog started barking thinking the dog was in my room. Never stay here again. Terrible experience.

We arrived to a hotel room that had used toilet paper, someone’s used contact lense on the back of the toilet, rusted pipes, the door had a gap between it and the frame. Staff was less than helpful, honestly just glad we only stayed for one night. Definitely skip this place.

This did not hold up to its ratings on line at all!! Part of the ceiling was on the floor, bed sheets were clearly not clean, bathroom sink/ counter top were not clean. We honestly left there feeling like we needed to shower. It was so gross and too think we had to pay $150 to stay there. TERRIBLE!

We arrived at this hotel, after a long day of driving. The area the hotel is located is scary, especially at night. When you walk into the hotel. The front desk is behind a maze of a hallway. The gentleman was super kind behind the desk. He gave my key and that was the end of our interaction. Once I got my husband and our kids , we walked back in, we immediately went to the elevator. The elevator smelled like trash. When we got to the 3rd floor, you are immediately met with a room that has a screaming baby, and a screaming adult, who is threatening to “kick your ass.” Thankfully they were behind closed doors. After a long dingy, poorly lit hallway, we made it to our room. I immediately checked for bugs, and to my surprise, there weren’t any. The floor was grimy, the furniture smelled, everything was dusty. The bathroom was also disgusting. There was dried ick behind the toilet. The base of the toilet was filthy, covered in dust and hair, and probably urine. The walls had blue marks all over them, and the floor the shower was extremely dirty. Around the deal of the shower, it was caked in brown gunk. I dropped something on the floor and it rolled u see the sink shelf situation, and I almost just left it due to the filth under there. If we weren’t exhausted from driving, with another long day of driving the next day, we would have left. On that note, when I booked this hotel, I booked it for the following weekend. Unfortunately, the hotel doesn’t offer any type of cancellation.

Roach infested and homeless people hanging in the parking lot. I had to wash everything I took with me in fear that a bug may have gotten in my suitcase.

Front desk staff was incredibly rude when I explained that my room key didn't work- the gentleman blamed it on me and that I disabled it with my phone. Then after that I got to my room I noticed peeled paint which was a bit concerning especially in the bathroom. When I asked the gentleman if perhaps I could change rooms or if all rooms were in that condition he nonchalantly replied that all rooms had “wear and tear”. He said I could change rooms but he didn’t know if the other room was in better condition. The key envelope he had handed me said free breakfast & waters so I asked about the waters and he told me I could pay for water or use the water fountain. When asked if the water fountain was filtered water he shrugged. Later on that evening there was inappropriate noise coming from the room next door for an extended time so I did ask to switch rooms. It was an inconvenience to pack my things back up and move however the next room was cleaner, more quiet and in better condition but lacked a freezer. However the gentleman had been so rude to me and said I’d “bothered the front desk every 2 min.” (Hardly 3 interactions in 3 hours). Next morning we awoke to the emergency alarm at 6:40am. Great location but will never stay here again! Also, it was rather strange that hardly anyone evacuated the building most other guests got in line for breakfast; glad I frantically packed up and left. Couldn’t find anyone to check out with after I dropped my belongings in my car.

The hotel staff was the best part of my stay. Kim, Alex, Olivia, Denise, and a couple others went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and I had everything I needed. The property around the hotel is dirty, but it is not the hotel fault. The area is an up-and-coming area of Chattanooga and you can see all the construction that is going on and the beautiful condos that are being built. The hotel itself could definitely use some upgrades, no doubt. The paint around my air conditioner, could’ve been cleaned up a bit and the toilet paper roll holder was loose and falling off the wall. Those are little things that I overlooked because I truly enjoyed the staff so much. The breakfast is very basic and only had about 5 to 7 items total. You didn’t have a choice of bread or bagel. You only had bagels. The oatmeal was instant. The condiments were not namebrand and you can definitely taste the difference in ketchup and the cream cheese. All of those things though can be fixed if the hotel spent a little money .

Worth it
Good price for safe, clean, comfortable room. Bed was super comfortable. The heat/AC unit was quiet and worked well. The tv worked well with basic channels. Minor cosmetic issues such as paint chipped and bathtub caulk. A little dusty in places. Not a deal breaker.

Excellent staff, location of District 3 , easy access to rooms, luggage carts and amenities. District 3 Hotel is centrally located to some of the Civil Wars most decisive Battles Orchard Knob, Lookout Mountain & other notable battles Battle for Chattanooga. Breakfast offerings were plentiful, tasty and easily accessible. Coffee wasn’t boiling hot, but Luke warm( (most likely due to being 8:30am) breakfast served 6:30am-9:00am Overall rating? Great place to stay for me & my needs. Excellent
