« The description was accurate as far as the view but the information stated there was sleeping accommodations for six which leads you to believe there was one bedroom with one bed and a second with two beds but there was only one bed in each bedroom. So having only two beds limited it to sleeping four people and no portable bed or pullout bed available on the property. »

« The place itself looks fine on line (you pay for what you get and this is an economical price point), but it is almost impossible to find- even with GPS- could be an island issue- but once you get to the general vicinity the area is NOT what one would expect. If you are from out of town you want to feel safe- the neighborhood did not give any sense of safety- and I am from a large city. « The Mermaid’s Pearl was a comfortable fit for my son (19) and me. It is located in a quiet complex with a beautiful view from the balcony. The studio is a perfect size for two people and was very clean. We enjoyed the local restaurant (Sudi’s) and the pool just outside the front door, as well as the short walk to the Safire Beach complex (local coffee shop and eateries on the beach). « Location was good. Best advice. Go down the stairs and use walkway under the building and to the left. Otherwise you have to go up and down huge hills. Power on the island goes out for a couple hours a day because of the load. Nothing the owner has control over. »

« The property was clean and comfortable. The host was very responsive to my needs. The second day the power was out the whole time. I requested a refund even though the outage was beyond his control. He gave me a refund for the second day. He was very accommodating. It’s a very beautiful property with an ocean view. I would recommend this property because it was comfortable and clean. If the power hadn’t gone out it would have been a very nice stay. »
