« First of all, Nikki was our online host and stayed in communication with me the whole time. When we arrived at Cedar River, I found that the cabin I thought I reserved was not the one I actually reserved. Fortunately for us Nikki was there to check us in and helped us upgrade to a bigger cabin to fit our family and puppies. « My son and I stayed in the 2 bedroom cabin. It was clean and nice. We were lucky to have the whole resort to ourselves, besides some road workers who came after their shift was done. We had the heated salt water pool to ourselves and it was incredible. So relaxing. Their shower and changing rooms were meticulously clean and I hope people renting cabins and using this resort help to keep it clean and tidy. « Stayed for a few days to combine a mini vacation while visiting family in the area. Very relaxing vibe looking out on the river/lake. We had some family over for a BBQ and it was a good setup for that. Kitchen had the basics. A few maintenance issues but hosts were communicative. I enjoyed the few days of R&R. I am familiar with the area but North Liberty has grown a lot and has a lot to offer nearby, or it's a short trip to Iowa City. »

« Ensure you have AWD or 4WD and good tires. It’s a 10 miles drive on a very muddy/gravel, low maintained road with lots of holes. There were several times my van almost got stuck and I was sliding all over the road. « We weren't sure what to expect and gosh were we blown away! The property is so quiet and so well tended. The pool was still open, warm and the cleanest I've ever been in. Cabin was equally clean and very cozy. All items we needed to cook were already there and the beds comfortable. We look forward to coming back. »
