Wild life is fabulous.The lodge has everything you need for your stay, plus the added bonus of TVs in the bedrooms.Great that there is no mobile phone signal, so it's very relaxing even though there is internetNot too far into Masham for groceries.Our only criticism is, and it's personal preference, is that the sofas are a bit to low for us.The dog loved watching the rabbits and squirrels.Will visit again »

« A very quiet location in a rural area, ideal position for visiting towns in the area such as Hawes, Leyburn etc. The cottage overlooks fields and stables in the distance, there is a lot of wildlife, rabbits ,squirrels, to see along with the owners ducks, chickens and two cheeky dachshunds.We found the best Coop for supplies was to be found at Masham not far away with easy parking. »

« The property was very comfortable and in a fantastic location for walking. It stayed cool during the very hot weather. The only problem was that we couldn’t get the car charger to work and this was one of our reasons for booking the property. There were no instructions for it. »

« We had a lovely stay at The Old Barn, it’s well equipped, quiet and dog friendly. The parking worked well, we have a 4x4 and a tow bar mounted bike rack. We also appreciated having a secure shed for our bikes. The neighbours are friendly and made us feel welcome, we are planning to return to the cottage to explore the area further. My only comment is about recycling as we couldn’t find a recycling bin. But we did locate and use the local recycling facility, which is at The Reeth Dales Centre. »

« Beautifully clean cottage in an idyllic setting. The house was lovely and warm when we arrived, which was very much appreciated for a chilly weekend, as were the fresh milk and delicious biscuits. Fantastic walks all over, every one of which our dogs loved.The cottage had everything we needed. « Angie is a lovely warm welcoming lady , nothing was a bother , only staid one night as was having a meal in the Fox Covert next door which is really great place , The cottage was a propped cottage feel , and could sleep upto 6 but was only the two of us , proper kitchen and shower n toilet was compact but everything you needed , lovely place to stay and will be back , also location is good for all local amenities and local attractions, Thank you »
