« We came for rare opportunity for a Family Retreat with our son who is a Catholic monk. All we wanted was a silent internal and external setting. No other expectation. We were blessed with so much more. Most special was roomy space for conversation and prayer for all of us. We are all adults and though the basement rooms aren’t best for adults, it suited the simplicity we needed. We were blessed with walks on snow covered paths and hills and ice covered lake. « Very POOR. I stayed 4 nights and NOT ONCE was the bed made. NOT ONCE did my room receive clean towels. The garbage was never removed. On Monday and Tuesday mornings at 7:00, we made the coffee in the lobby since no staff had arrived. What's worse (if you can imagine this getting worse) -- We booked 5 rooms at the Boulder Creek Inn and each one of us received boorish and rude treatment by the managers and owners.
