Great stay! I was looking for a quiet place with nature. The cabin was a great experience for a getaway. And I went the nearby hikes which were amazing trails and views. Thank you !!!

small adventure

A wonderful stay in Carmel Valley
We were looking for something that had a cabin-like ambiance but with all the amenities and this was the perfect fit. The host is so helpful and gave us recommendations on where to go in Carmel Village/Carmel. We loved the ability to go into town for wine tasting and ocean views then retreat back to our little mountain bungalow. This was our second time staying and we will definitely be back for a third!

Quaint cabin
I'm extremely happy that I chose to stay here. I only wish I had stayed longer. The surrounding area was beautiful and the property itself was awesome. Plenty of area to explore around. It is perfect for a couple. Hot water was hot and the place had everything we needed. We definitely be back!!

Quiet Peaceful Cabin
The cabin is exactly what we need. Quiet, clean, and peaceful as there was no WIFI or TV. We enjoyed being one with nature, and so did our puppy. Thnak you Joseph, place was amazing and we will be back.

Romantic cabin in the hills!
All the reviews are true! This is a serene place with a cute cabin. We arrived during a storm with crazy rain and winds that continued through the night. It made for great white noise! We were skeptical of the heater’s ability to keep us warm and it got so hot that we had to turn it down in the middle of the night! The space is super romantic! The bathroom is like 20 steps away and we had so much fun running to and from it in pouring rain! I brought my little dog with me too and he had all the freedoms during the day to roam around under my supervision. I will call out though that it’s a gas-fuelled heater which was not clear from the listing. The bed creaking was pretty loud. So you’d have to be good sleepers. Those are my only two complains. The hosts are genuinely very nice people and live close by. They actually offered for us to stay back another night for free because the storm was so bad. We unfortunately had to leave but would definitely go back in the summer!

Quick overnight
This cute cabin was exactly as described and very peaceful. It was off the beaten track, which turned out to not be the best for MY road-trip, but that was due to my lack of understanding the area. The hosts were very attentive and checked in on us and even got us charcoal for the grill so we could enjoy our delicious dinner!

An amazing retreat in Carmel Valley!
Such a perfect cabin getaway in Carmel Valley. It was perfect for us because we were looking for a camping experience without any fuss, and Joseph delivered. Super friendly and accommodating and the property was perfect. We’ll definitely be back!

The best getaway!
We absolutely loved staying at this little cabin nestled in the mountains! Such a perfect place to spend a weekend at Big Sur! The surroundings were beautiful and it was the cherry on top for our trip. The host was very thoughtful and attentive. I strongly recommend this to anyone visiting the area :)

Adorable cabin the Oaks
Love, love, love this place! Such an adorable, quaint little cabin. Will definitely be back when it’s not raining, however, have to say, the rain was an extra bonus, so peaceful & fresh smelling. The bathhouse on the property is amazing. It is not attached to the little cabin, but don’t let that stop you. Can’t wait to go back & will tell friends for sure. It was a perfect place for my wife & I to spend a quiet New Years. Joseph & his wife drove over to make sure all was ok, of course it was, it was fabulous. Such character, this little place!

Perfect
This little cabin is exactly what we were looking for. It was very quaint and very isolated. No cell service or wifi. The cabin was decorated with beautiful paintings and it was very comfortable. There was a small stove with pots, pans and dishes. It has a small sink with hot water. There is no refrigerator so we brought our own ice chest. Although, there is one that you can use on the deck. The bathroom and the shower are separate from the cabin. That’s what makes it so adventurous. It’s like camping with all the luxuries. We were welcomed by the owners as we arrived. They gave us fresh eggs from their chickens and ice for the ice chest. The eggs were delicious. My husband and I were there to celebrate our birthdays and we were surprised by Joseph and Kristen with a small birthday cake. They were a delight to visit with. The cabin is far away from town and a bit of a drive. But, well worth it. We recommend this place to everyone.

Great Getaway from the world
Excellent place to relax and recharge! Very clean and actually lots of room, BIG Plus lighting is the HOT shower and bathroom outside in its own space. The owner checked in on us on night one and seemed very nice and helpful. If you want to go to the town it’s only about 20-25 minutes away, great places for lunch wine and beer. Loved it!!

The cabin is wonderfully crafted (including the corner bench & table) with many nice touches even found the artwork above the counter delightful. The kitchen is well stocked with convenience items from the tea kettle to flatware to dish soap. The windows offer great fresh air that brings the sounds of nature from outside to inside. The porch rockers are so comfortable. Joseph & Kristin are welcoming & attentive. Thank you for sharing!!!!!

Super pleasant stay! The hosts were very welcoming and super kind. The cabin had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, Including a delightful shower. I would be remiss to not mention the incredible view of the stars. Would love to stay here again.

Way up high
If you're looking for reclusion, this is a good spot. You're on the owner's property, so there's really nowhere to go explore except your cabin. No trails etc. There is a beautiful mountain ridge with morning sun to the southeast, but the cabin faces northwest, so it doesn't get sun until late in afternoon. It's ideal for summer.

Great, quiet getaway!
The cabin and bath house are both well-built with a great eye for detail (and bonus of original artwork to enjoy!). We enjoyed the ample porch and bbq area as well. Hosts were friendly and attentive. They suggested some nearby trails and Los Padres Dam to explore. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back!

The cabin is small but very functional and lots of really nice detail - even better in real life than in the pictures. Very pretty and secluded location. A bit far from town if you want to go in twice a day but perfect if you want somewhere beautiful and quiet to relax.

A slice of heaven!
Joseph was so kind and good with communication. He greeted us when we showed up and brought my husband a cheesecake. He made sure to check in and gave us great tips on places to visit. This will definitely be a favorite of ours and we will be back❤️

The cabin was amazing, the pictures do not do Joe's craftsmanship justice. Everything was thoughtfully constructed and had everything you would need in a kitchen to make a nice dinner! Joe and his wife are very sweet and came to say hello, give some recommendations for the area and dropped off ice! I would 100% stay again!

Quiet, well-built cabin overlooking a vineyard
We had to change our plans last minute due to fires where we were going to stay, and Joseph was very responsive and hospitable- we were so lucky to find such a perfect little cabin! 25 min to the nearest town, we were really able to disconnect from technology and relax. The cabin, made by Joseph himself, was clean, well designed and had all the basics plus some nice touches. He brought us ice for the ice box/cooler and also gave us a great winery recommendation! Would be happy to stay there again and highly recommend this cabin. The private bathhouse is awesome too!

Had such a great time at Joseph’s property! Beautiful cabin with wonderful amenities for a quick two night stay! Was there for some R&R and just did that! Joseph was very welcoming and even got us a bag of ice for the cooler! Not to mention they also brought some organic tomatoes from their yard! Nice people and nice property! Will absolutely plan to go there again!

Serene, peaceful, and quiet. Perfect cabin getaway!
It was exactly what we were looking for to celebrate my husbands birthday weekend. After our day exploring Bug Sur and Carmel, this cabin was the ideal retreat to escape to. No signal, no wifi, no problems! We grabbed groceries for a BBQ dinner and breakfast on our way and then said goodbye to civilization for the evening. Jospeh was a welcoming and friendly host. He even had a small birthday cake for my husband! There was everything we needed in the kitchen to make a simple dinner, ice chest for our food, fresh towels, linens, and soap. We enjoyed the sunset over the mountains at the picnic table as we ate then sat in the rocking chairs on the porch when it was dark. The futon bed was very comfortable as we settled in for a quiet and dark night’s sleep. We woke up to birds and the sunrise and ate our breakfast on the porch. The separate bathhouse was like a master bath with beautiful stonework and windows. The cabin itself was beautifully constructed by the owner. Lovely details and craftsmanship. We definitely plan to book another stay!

It was just what we needed after spending a week at work on our screens ! Joseph is very friendly and built this awesome cabin himself ! I would bring some cards/ games and something to pop on the BBQ for dinner ! The outhouse is very well built too.
