I’ve been coming to Monterey Car Week for the past 11 years (with the exception of the COVID break), and I can honestly say this has been the best stay yet. Marianne’s home was simply perfect—beautifully furnished, thoughtfully put together, and in an ideal location close to all the action in Downtown Carmel. From the moment we arrived, it truly felt like home. What meant the most to me was how comfortable and safe I felt staying here with my two toddlers. That peace of mind made the whole experience even more special. Marianne herself was incredibly kind and welcoming, and her hospitality shined through every detail. We had such a wonderful time, and I can’t thank Marianne enough. I highly recommend this home and location to anyone looking for a memorable and comfortable stay in Carmel.

Our hosts were very friendly and helpful, refreshing our towels and offering assistance when needed and plenty of privacy. The place was well-decorated and I appreciated the tarts fresh from a bakery in the fridge and the bottle of wine waiting for us when we got there. I wasn't sure if we'd get along with a kitchenette as we're used to a full kitchen, but it all worked out great! The kids (and I) loved the sleeping nooks and the hot tub and outside area around it was just lovely. Thanks for a great stay!

Very pretty but location is noisy

Very pretty house, well maintained. Loved the decorations, owner put lot of thought in making it comfortable. Only flaw is its near highway so u cant sit outside and enjoy the beautiful manicured lawn.

We just stayed here for one night. It was so beautiful! It's a nice-sized unit that is perfect for families. The little alcoves with spaces for the kids to sleep were perfect. What a find!

Great location

Everything about the way this property is set up is very well thought-through and thorough. All of the details were wonderful including fresh flowers and treats waiting for us when we arrived. It was so much more than we expected. Communication was spot on which left us prepared and not wondering about anything. The gardens are tremendous. Marian, the owner, was easy to talk to and very responsive. The property is situated in a location that made it easy to access several different local areas. Thank you!

Charming little hide-a-way.

Cute and spacious 1-bedroom unit, basically, but absolutely unique, nestled in the underbelly of a house in a lush and well-maintained garden. The unit itself I found quite charming because of it's unusual layout, unique features, irregular shapes, and niches galore! It makes me wonder about the evolution of the space through the history of this house. My wife and I stayed, but it seems an excellent place for a family with younger kids: there are two bed niches in the bedroom, and another bed niche separate in the kitchen area. We only stayed one night, but it makes me want to stay again longer and enjoy the area at a slower pace.

Best cottage ever!

Our family of 5 slept easily in this beautiful decorated and well supplied cottage. Our kids enjoyed the sleeping knooks. Downtown Carmel and Monterey are quick drives. Hosted is very kind and thoughtful. The special welcome touches were a fun surprise and loved. The garden is spectacular and peaceful. I highly recommend this cottage and host!

Magical Garden

This was a wonderful property tucked away in the hills, yet with easy access to freeways, shopping, and the beach. The host is great and responds promptly to the needs of the guests. The house is charming and perfect for families with kids.

Fabulous Retreat

This hidden gem is adorable. I took my daughter and four friends to celebrate her 18th birthday. The main room fit them perfect. They enjoyed the spa which was set in a magical garden. Windell and Marianne went above and beyond to make the weekend magical. Hope to stay here again!

Cozy apartment beneath a family home

Very private, comfortable area. Flowers and plants surround the brick & stone walkways outside the apartment. The owner was pleasant and reached out to see if we needed anything. We had a really nice stay. The apartment had all we needed. Our two kids had beds in deep nooks that made them feel like they had their own private spaces. They like that! Plenty of pillows, bathroom supplies, and linen were available. If I were to say anything negative or worth considering; it would be these 3 things: The driveway is on a steep hill and the walkway to the apartment requires going down a number of stairs. 3 of the 4 beds are in 'elevated' nook type spaces. Finally, the bathroom is right next to the kitchen. Both spaces are quite small (especially the shower location in the bathroom) but the bathroom has everything a guest needs. The shower has great water pressure! Because of the bathroom layout, and other features outside & inside the home, I could see people with physical disabilities or limitations having trouble navigating these spaces (especially is they had walkers, wheelchairs, or other mobility equipment). Overall, it was a good fit for our family. We enjoyed our stay & would return.

Quiet and relaxing getaway!

We live in a bustling part of San Francisco and we were looking for a place to unwind and relax for a few days. This place was perfect! We spent time hiking nearby, ate some great food and sat on the beach, but the most relaxing elements of our stay took place right in the VRBO. -We spent the late afternoons enjoying the cozy window beds while reading our books -We climbed up into the little bed-nook by the TV and watched a movie -We soaked in the hot-tub in the evenings -We ordered pizza for lunch one day and ate it outside in the sunshine So many nice relaxing moments! Our host was kind, accommodating and friendly. She left treats for us to enjoy, and all the amenities were very nice. Top notch!

Evrything was great! The instructions were very clear, Marianne responded to our emails promptly and was waiting for us upon arrival. The apartment was very cozy, quiet, and had everything we needed. The garden and jacuzzi were beautiful. Marianne asked on the second day if we needed anything else to make our stay more comfortable, she was a wonderful hostess. Fantastic 3 day Carmel stay

Fantastic stay with our 3 young kids. So close to the centre of Carmel and a lovely quiet neighbourhood with a delightful cosy design. The hosts were very organised and great communicators, making sure we had everything we needed. We even left something behind and they helped us coordinate a return. Thank you!

I came to this property for my daughters birthday and we enjoyed our stay! We loved the weather and the small town we were able to explore. Overall I would say we had a great time using the jacuzzi and having dinner at downtown Carmel.

Wonderful getaway to Carmel

Great Place

Wonderful place. Much bigger than expected (3 adults slept comfortably and could have easily had more) and very private. Hot tub is amazing too and nestled in a beautiful garden. Great hosts- extremely responsive, thoughtful, and accommodating throughout stay. Thank you for the yummy treats that were left for us as well. Definitely would stay here again!
