This hotel had a convention going on in their ballroom and in the early morning hours 2 to 5 am the guests and the floor above us and on the floor below us were terribly out of line noisy banging etc drunk period it was an awful time we got no sleep at all and others said the same thing to us day there per

The hotel and rooms are great , it's the corridors where the issue lies . There's very poor ventilation in those areas and a smell of damp from a leaky roof , probably just a one off unfortunate event , but nonetheless walking to and from the room wasn't a pleasant experience

Staff were fantastic, room was very comfortable and very clean, leisure club and pool were a huge hit with my children. We'd definitely stay again if we're visiting the area on future.

I liked the location, the friendliness of the staff. The cleanliness of every aspect. All round it is a lovely hotel. Would definitely stay there again. There wasn't anything I didn't like.

Room was freezing when we arrived, then was too hot during the night and no way to adjust heating. Shower was luke warm, room needs refurbishment. The leisure centre only opens at 10:30am and the specific machines you want to use are only turned on when you ask. Also too strict on hat and flip flops at pool when they don’t provide them to purchase. Wouldn’t have been too bad if it wasn’t €200 a night which was a rip off for what we got

It was a nice hotel, comfy bed, excellent water pressure, and a wonderful irish breakfast! We had a minor issue with the radiators but the staff was very accommodating and rendered the issue. Walking distance to great restaurants!

We really enjoyed our stay, food excellent and service fantastic. Just a couple of small points, the heating was on when not necessary and in some rooms heaters could not be turned off. The lighting for use of mirrors very poor. Overall most enjoyable and would stay again.

The hotel combines old design with some modern aspects. Restaurant and bar were great, bed was very comfortable. TV options were very basic, no on-site laundry service available (which I thought was available based on how I read the details but I was clearly mistaken, unfortunate given my suitcase full of dirty clothes ready for a washing from the first leg of my trip). Overall, good experience and would recommend for others looking for a place to stay in Carlow.
