Bruce and Andrea are lovely hosts and we enjoyed staying at their property. Very quiet and beautiful area of Colorado. Propaganda Pizza next door was excellent and the Redstone Inn was also a nice place to chill. Redstone has limited wifi and virtually no cell service in the area which was nice as you can really unplug. The property did have WiFi if you need to make a call.
The bathroom sink dripped constantly. The toilet seat was missing a nut on the bolt that holds the seat in place. Every time I picked up the toilet seat, I thought it was going to break off and fall on the floor.
Went to the office several times. When it said,"OPEN, Come on In"........there was no one there.
The other times I went there was a "We'll Be Back" sign on the door with a cardboard box saying what time they would return.
But the loading was clean, quiet and centrally located,
So overall it was OK
Convenient location, but could use some routine maintenance, like getting the sliding screen door put on its track. Also, trash hadn't been removed from previous occupant.
The number one reason to stay here is the river running by the property. The number 2 is that it is clean and includes amenities like dish and silver ware, plenty of towels & a comfy bed. The hosts were not present but they left a key for me to check in. It is a high level motel type of stay in a beautiful spot!
We enjoyed this cozy room with its own little patio that was pretty private. Unfortunately it was raining so we weren't able to enjoy that. The room was quite chilly and had a wall heater that didn't seem connected to the thermostat but worked, just slowly. The owners should be sure that heat is turned on before guests are assigned to a particular room. There was nice quilt to add to the bed which was comfortable. A quaint place that we would return to.
