Dear Carlos,Thank you for your feedback. I have looked into your reservation on our reservations portal and the room type booked through Expedia was a Standard Room, not a sea-facing room. This is also how the reservation filtered through to us at the hotel and was the room you were allocated. I would like to confirm that as discussed in the feedback given to you, a thorough investigation did take place and in no way are we trying to cover anything up. The staff members concerned with entering the room to refresh the towels as requested all underwent polygraph tests and came back with negative results. The hotel provides a safe in the room for our guests to store their valuables which was not used. We did everything in our power to ensure that a thorough investigation was completed and feedback given through. I am sorry if this investigation did not meet your expectations.With regards to the cleanliness of your room, please be assured that this has been addressed and I sincerely apologise that this was not to standard upon your arrival.As always, we appreciate your feedback and will endeavor to do better.Kind regards,Joanne DuffinGeneral Manager

We are proud to share that 99 of our sea and mountain-facing rooms are equipped with a generator, and an additional 32 rooms in our east wing building also have backup power capabilities. This allows us to maintain a reliable power supply during load shedding, minimizing inconveniences for our guests.While our east wing may be affected by load shedding, resulting in limited services such as lifts, we have implemented contingency plans to ensure that our guests can still access all the facilities. Emergency lighting is available in common areas, rooms, and the lobby, enabling our guests to navigate the premises safely. Our staff members are trained to assist guests during power outages, providing guidance and support as needed. We apologize if we fell short in communicating these measures effectively during your stay.In situations where availability allows, we often extend free upgrades to guests affected by power outages.
