Room was good, staff wasnt overly nice, the room was OK. The breakfast sucked, only apple juice, coffee to drink, plain yogurt, and some danishes and muffins.

Fast and easy check in with a nice and courteous clerk. I needed to change to a downstairs unit because of accessibility for my husband and she politely made the modification for me.

Was great, very clean, great bed & pillows; super clean. My only issue was the staff was extremely rude & being forced to allow maids to come in after staying on day 2 that we were ok. Front desk forced us to allow them in & my husband was not feeling well so it was extremely inappropriate & frustrating.

Locked out early
Second time staying in a private owned hotel/motel like this. Non smoking room but there was a cigarette butt under my bed. Check out time is 11 am. Due to event we were there for we went to event and came back to check out. I got back to the hotel @ 1043 am and my card was already deactivated.

On the website, a pool is advertised. However, the pool has been close for more than two weeks. Water is in it. It was closed by the health department.
When I tried to resolve this with the manager, I was told that the pool always closes around Labor Day. If that’s the case, take down the sign, closed by the health department, cover the pool and compensate the guest for services, not received.

We booked this hotel for 3 nights in July 2023. On our first day, we went to the pool with our grown son. We were the only three in the pool. There is a sign that states "no alcohol within 5 feet of the pool". My husband & son were in the pool & I was on a lawn chair. The owner came out to tell us that Cherokee County has an ordinance prohibiting ETOH consumption despite the posted notice. We left the pool. I was not comfortable w/the info given, so i called the non- emergent police #. An officer called me back to relay that the owner was not truthful and that there is NO such ordinance. As a consumer, Ido not like to be lied to. There was no reason for this. Additionally, the cleaning crew was the father and mother of the owners. They could barely push the cart and were elderly. Our son actually assisted the mother in throwing garbage away that was too heavy for her to put in the trash can. We completely understand having a family owned business, but not when your parents are elderly and cleaning hotel rooms. They shoukd be ashamed of themselves. We stayed at this hotel a decade ago & had no problems. Needless to say, we will NEVER stay at this hotel again. We are paying customers who will never return.

The motel is being renovated. We were asked to change rooms after the first night so that that room could be updated. We were moved into a freshly renovated room with new furniture and new mattresses. Management is pleasant and easy to work with.

Our ultimate goal is for our guests to be comfortable both in the summertime, and in the winter. Our maintenance staff has a regular schedule dedicated to checking the working order of appliances, the state of the furniture in the rooms, and bathroom fixtures. I am sorry that we failed to do this during your most recent stay. I am especially upset to hear that the situation was not addressed right away.
