« Honestly, Senora Elma was amazing to my children and I. Although many of the staff we encountered did not speak our language, they were patient with us and did not make us feel uncomfortable. There are many attractions close by, as well as food options. Breakfast is included, ans they were willing anf able to accommodate us with our plant-based meals. « Absolutely fantastic experience! The private patio overlooking Playa Ocotal is so spacious, and there is always a breeze. Wake up to the sound of howler monkeys in the hills and various birds calling all day. The air conditioned tent keeps you cool at night but you could easily not use ac and let the breeze come through the mesh screens. The host is super responsive if you have questions or need anything. « Absolutely gorgeous place! We were in heaven there. It’s a beautiful lodge in a field of colorful flowers. And the location is wonderful—it’s in the adorable mountainous town of Upala, right by Sensoria and La Catedral, both of which I highly recommend (but farther some of the other hiking trails).
