Perfect family retreat
Once inside and seeing the AMAZING views I couldn’t have asked for more. The house accommodated the 6 of us perfectly. Our favorite spot was the sunroom. We were actually on the beach. Haystack Rock in all its glory. My only recommendation is that the front of the house has a little makeover. Pretty drab looking. Construction going on next door. Thank you for a special long weekend for my family to connect 😍

Great Haystack House
This location is great for CBCC if you have a large group going together. R furniture to sit on. Our group plays lot of games and the dining room table was good for us. We had 3 cars and found a close spot for the third car to park. There are a few areas that new maintenances and it was our understanding that they were going to be doing that starting the afternoon we left. This house works great for a large group. You won’t be disappointed! It was apparent that your cleaners do not clean under the sofas. We found stuff that definitely wasn’t from our group. Vitamins and dog food. Definitely not us! We all did say when we arrived how clean the house was. So surface is awesomely clean, but when we dropped something that rolled under the sofa, it was disgusting and I chose not to even continue looking for my stylus top. Thank you 😊

Great Location but
The location was great right on the beach. However, it was hard for me to get over the general dustiness. The property is old and hadn’t been updated, which you can see from the pictures, but it needs a deep cleaning. The home is large with many add-ons over the years, and it’s clear some tubs and rooms are rarely used. We have dust allergies and this home irritated us badly. Also, the back door to the beach is impossible to lock which is concerning because the home’s property is along the public beach access and there are people walking back and forth often. Lastly, the home next yo the property is being totally remodeled so the construction somewhat impeded the view of haystack rock. If you are planning on staying during the week in the next coming months, expect active construction. As I said before, the location is great, loved being right on the beach, but it wasn’t as relaxing as I would have liked.

We had the pleasure of staying at this property a few years ago at Thanksgiving. When we saw it was available again after Christmas, we decided to surprise our kids with another getaway. Is it expensive, yes. But you can not beat the location. We just adore having instant access to the beach. And the outdoor backyard allows our kids to play outside in sand while we supervise them from the house and meal prep/read. Such a wonderful place to make memories. We hope to stay here again.

Great family venue— especially for younger children’s access to beach and sandy front yard. Older home, with well-kept home with cozy touches. Views of ocean are wonderful from dining room, master bedroom and a sitting area. We walked to Pelican Brewery and Wayfarer Restaurant for really good food.

Great location could be cleaner.
The location was perfect. For the amount of money they are charging per night one would expect the place to be cleaner. There was laundry left in the dryer, The bedding, couch and carpets were badly stained. The back door was very hard to lock.

Great location couple items that could be improved for the price of the house.
Absolutely beautiful location right down Cannon Beach. As far as the house mostly things, but a few worth noting: 1) The house was clean on the surface, but underneath, it was pretty dirty 2) No paper towels and napkins - we purchased them and left them for the next person. 3) No wash towels and only a few hand towels 4) The BBQ was really dirty. We had to spend at least a half hour cleaning the cooking grill.

Another Great Family Vacay
We are two sisters, with their four adult sons, two daughter-in-laws and two grandkids. We take an annual beach vacay together and this is our favorite house to rent. The location is fantastic, right on the beach. The sandy front yard is perfect for our littles and a great place to watch the sunset and the beach. The house is quite comfortable and fits our family perfectly. Thank you! We'll be back!!

Fantastic Property in an Amazing Location
The views were worth the money. The property manager quickly responded when we had a broken garbage disposal. Recommend this property, if you want a location right on the beach and is within walking distance to all of Cannon Beach.

beautifully located
This VRBO is beautifully located right on the beach & just steps from Haystack. Its glassed in sunroom & dining area serve up 24/7 entertainment with views of the ocean, kids & dogs frolicking on the sand & in waves, & lovely sunsets. Not to mention an every day-long invitation to walk the beach. The home presents as an older beach cabin complete with a large stone fireplace, large common spaces, & enough additions & upgrades to make it comfortable for a number of people. We really enjoyed our time there.

perfect 5 nights
For us there has been nothing better than being right on a beautiful beach. This home was perfectly equipped for us five 70 year olds in a spectacular setting. Could not have been better (unless you don't want anyone else on "your beach" :), but the people and dog watching is super. The activities in Canon Beach and the near by hiking and outrageously gorgeous landscapes are stunningly memorable.

Girls’ weekend
Wonderful weekend with friends! This traditional beach cottage (seems a bit strange to call it that because of its size) was perfectly appointed and perfectly located for relaxing together. The views and location simply cannot be beat, but the property was comfortable and had everything we needed. We left with great pictures, full hearts, and wonderful memories. Thank you!

Best location !
This house is the very best location for a group with kids who want to play on the beach ! It is so inviting, they can go for a quick football toss or longer sand castle building! Adults as well and as perfect for people and weather watching from inside. For those who want to be around beach activity and be first out in the morning! House could use a little TLC ...master bedroom upstairs is dreamy. Three bathrooms is ideal. We're making it an annual stay.

Fun and Relaxing!
Woke up every morning drinking coffee in the sitting room with a spectacular view of the Haystack Rock. We just had to step outside and we were at the beach…could not beat the amazing location! House was well stocked with games and puzzles too! Everything was clean, comfortable, and lots of beds so everyone had space. Our entire crew, kids and adults, had a magical time. Can’t wait to go back.

Great rental for families or a girls weekend. Everything we needed was there. Huge DR table - great for games. Furniture/beds - all comfortable. Spacious. Cozy fireplace. My favorite spot was in the sunroom/porch looking out at the water. Thanks for sharing your home with us - we really enjoyed it.

This was our second visit to the property. It has enough room for all of us, 8 adults and 2 kids. We love the location with the sand right outside the front door, and right on the beach. Easy walk to town--love it.

Spectacular Views!!!
We were a party of 6 adults and 1 three year old. Everyone had plenty of room in the bedrooms. The living room was spacious with plenty of seating. The dining room had a huge picture window, so there were ocean views for every meal. The sun room had large windows facing south and west, Haystack rock was right in the back yard. The kitchen was well stocked with staples and plenty of pots, pans, bowls and appliances to cook at home. The washer and dryer were a must as the 3 year old came in soaked at least 3 times a day! It was wonderful vacation. The only drawback was the patio. There were no railings on the one side, with a 3 foot drop. In the front, there were no railings and a 4 foot drop. This was a bit of a problem with the very busy 3 year old, and could be a problem for someone like my dad, who is wobbly on his feet. Luckily, our visit was incident free, but there were a few close calls.

We enjoyed the Haystack House very much. There were 9 of us for a family vacation and it worked pretty well. The location was perfect. Master bed was great. Other beds were average. Kitchen and dining area worked for us. Outdoor chairs were great.

Great Location!
We loved staying here. I found the pictures to be accurate portrayal of where we stayed. It is a bit older house that isn't the brightest and shiniest, but you cannot beat the location and it had lots of room. Walking out the door to the beach was the best and just sitting in the sunroom and watching the waves was wonderful. The 'kids' up to 22 had a great time playing hide and seek in the house. We had 9 people and had lots of extra bed space. I think it is true to advertisement and we loved staying here.

Perfect Location for a Multi Family Vacation
A very cute seaside cabin. plenty of room for 3 families. Wonderful kitchen, dining room and living room. We all just loved having morning coffee in the sunporch watching the tide come in. The kids love the beach right there out the kitchen door. Town was a block away. You could not ask for a more perfect location.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Haystack House! The weather was amazing for the coast, so the timing couldn’t have been better. If I’m being fair regarding the rental house, we were expecting it to be weathered as it’s right on the beach and it certainly was. As a disclaimer for my review, I stay at many rental properties, so it is difficult to WOW me. Cannon Beach is popular and on the expensive side, so we were expecting that. For the price of the rental , I would have liked to see the house not look like the oldest house on the beach. I realize the owners want to keep a rustic look, but the outside especially could use some TLC. The inside was nice, however the furniture was a bit soiled and the beds could use an upgrade for comfort. Again, I’m being honest and critical as it is a review. All in all, the view was amazing and our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. My 86 year old Father in law really enjoyed the sun room and conversations he had with people walking through the beach access point. If it bothers you having people traffic all day everyday, then this rental is not for you. I hope it doesn’t take us 7 years to get back to the coast again. Thank you!

We had a wonderful time at Cannon Beach. The property was amazing! Everything ran like clockwork for checking in and out. Very clear communication from host. Clean, lots of room, and plenty of amenities. If parking a third car, consider reaching out to Police Station to get an overnight permit for one of the nearby parking lots.

Incredible location
Could not have been in a better location. Having the sandy beach right out the back door was perfect for young kids and made it easy to be flexible for a large family all wanting to go out to the beach at different times. The house was easy to keep warm and felt cozy. We loved being able to enjoy the beach view even when it was raining. It's an older house that has clearly been updated. Still, there were some very minor things that felt like they could have used some TLC- a loose faucet, hard to use blinds, a cranky door lock. Some of the bedding wasn't as fresh and updated as it could have been.

The cottage is in a great location; close to everything. It was right on the beach with a great view of the ocean and haystack rock. The cottage was quite rustic but comfortable enough for 8 people. We had a wonderful time.

Fabulous Place, Location & Owner
We had a clear, close view of Haystack Rock, right on the beach and herds of elk on the beach that came up to the windows a couple mornings. Had an issue with internet but the owner was incredibly responsive, helpful and discounted for the unavailability of that amenity. Was a memorable Thanksgiving and this property was huge part in making it so special. Highly recommend!!!

Views and location say it all - wonderful!
Stacy is a true premier host. She is very responsive and prompt in communication. The layout of the bedrooms and bathrooms worked well for 3 families - my 2 daughter's families with their young children, and us. House is comfortable with charm, clean, well-stocked. Instructions are clearly labeled. Short travelling distance for us to get a nice retreat. We would consider to rent again.

Beach getaway for girlfriends.
This is a funky (in a good way), sprawling house with a cozy feel right on the beach. It was wonderful to fall asleep to the sound of the waves and wake up to see Haystack Rock right out the window. We did have an issue getting the downstairs television to work, I think we could have used directions, but didn’t see any anywhere. Not a big deal though, as who cares about television when you have that view? I would definitely stay here again in the future!

Celebrating 80th Birthday
It is a wonderful beach home in a fabulous location. You walk into the living area and there is hay stack rock! The dining area has a large dining table with the fantastic view of the ocean and hay stack rock. Great floor plan with bedrooms and bathrooms close by. The deck is a favorite to sit outside and you can walk into town. My dad loved it so much, he asked if we could go back this year! I would highly recommend staying at this beach home. Colleen Ritt

Amazing Location
There were so many nice things about this home, but our favorite thing was that is was right on the beach. When it rained we easily took shelter and when the sun came out, we were right back out there to enjoy. The house had a great supply of games! It did not have a cribbage board that we could find. Lots of extra blankets and towels were nice. The master King bed upstairs was very comfortable. The two queens were a little rustic. The bunk room and full/twin rooms were perfect. Great kitchen.

This property is amazing. The location could not be better - right on the beach, gorgeous view, near restaurants and not far from the main village. The house is not fancy/luxurious, but it is very comfortable. Great dining area with a view of the ocean, great sunroom facing the ocean, great deck. Amenities provided (kitchen supplies, etc.) were great. Some of the beds were more comfortable than others, and some of the bedding needs a refresh, but those were the only concerns. It truly is an amazing place - we are already talking about when we can go back.

This was the third year that my family and I stayed in this house. It is a great location so close to the beach and within walking distance to town. The view is wonderful. Has a nice kitchen a place to eat with a view and a small sunroom. The house is older but has a lot of charm.
