« The staff were really friendly and the room was really well appointed and clean. The breakfast was good too. The only drawback with this property is that the rooms are upstairs in a SUPER busy pub. There was a disco downstairs until 2am which there was no escaping from. Thankfully we were out at an event until late so we didn’t have to put up with it for too long and it was quiet once everyone had left. »

« The whole experience was mediocre. The staff “alright” no real complaint but the impression you get is that the place is badly maintained The staircase leading to the rooms needs repainting, there are chops of paint missing all over the place. « We were generally disappointed with the hotel. We paid for a better bigger room but were placed at the top of the hotel with a reasonably sized room. Lots of furniture in it which made it feel cramped. We think that a smell was being omitted from the air conditioner/ heater. Bathroom was indeed of a make up. Rust marks from the towel rail, mould on the shower walls and in the grouting. The wood was desperately in need of being painted and the loo and basin were on a low ceiling side which meant...

« On a passé deux nuits pour aller-retour en Ecosse. Cet hôtel est situé dans un petit village au calme mais pas très loin du centre ville. Les chambres sont propres avec des meubles et une décoration très chic, le lit est assez grand et confortable. On a aussi dîné dans leur restaurant, c’était délicieux. Le meilleur c’était le petit déjeuner anglais, c’était excellent. Ils ont aussi un parking gratuit, c’est appréciable, je recommande! »

« The inn is next to the river ouse in a beautiful area and, by car, is 5 minutes from St. Ives, a very interesting town to visit. To visit Cambridge you can go via various little villages through the countryside avoiding the very crowded A14 - about 40 mins. The room we had was quite small though comfortable with all the usual services. I would recommend asking for a large room on the side away from the kitchen to avoid the noise of the kitchen fan. « Perfect room, Extra-king size bed and a very recent bathroom. The staff is very nice and welcoming. The food is the pub is very good. »

« A very enjoyable 2 night stay. Pleasant locaton, very helpful and polite staff and very enjoyable food. Only comment is that the roomwas really too small to have a king sized bed. Recomended. »
