Beautiful little property. Service was amazing, breakfast was delicious. Only disappointed in the pub being closed on a Monday, but other than that it was a perfect place!

Nice little apartment with everything you need for a short stay. Quiet village location. Clean and comfortable with good quality breakfast delivered to room. Friendly and helpful host. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Everything was great. Lovely linens, nice large towels in the bathroom, easy to park outside. Good to have your own front door. The kitchenette had tea and coffee, a microwave and a fridge - perfect for our needs. Alex delivered the breakfast to the door and it was delicious. He was a fabulous host and is doing a wonderful job. I would definitely recommend. Well worthy of the numerous 5 star reviews.

We had a lovely stay. Alex was very accommodating, friendly and went out of his way to be helpful! It was lovely to have a cooked breakfast too!!

Comfortable. But details need attention. The loo seat needed holding up whether you sat or stood. Breakfast provision was very very disappointing (but no price reduction!) - what is the point of a toaster if there is no crockery - no plates, no bowls. We stayed three nights - we could only face the provided cereals twice. But we were warm, and the bed was comfortable.

We had a very enjoyable stay and Alex is an exceptional host ensuring our stay was trouble free. Great accommodation with little extras provided including cookies, coffee machine and fridge along with a fantastic cooked to order breakfast make this B&B stand out from other accommodation . We will definitely return. There is also a local Pub less than 5 minutes walk away that provides evening meals.

Thorn House Stay
This is a gem of a place with good comfort and quiet rooms. Breakfast was excellent with every care taken to make sure you are well catered for. Would highly recommend Thorn House.

Stayed for two days before Christmas. A very comfortable and thoughtfully equipped lodge by the most helpfullownerAlexander who served excellent breakfasts cooked to order each morning. Well situated for visiting Cambridge, leaving the car at nearby Swavesey then using guided bus.

It was great to have a separate sitting and dining area with basic kitchen facilities. Unfortunately the mattress was a bit too soft and the quilt a little too warm so we didn't have a very good night's sleep. There was an interesting choice of menu for breakfast and it was delicious. Alexander was an excellent host and very kindly let us check out late.

We were running late, due to heavy traffic, so phoned B&B to ask if later check-in was possible. Alexander told us not to worry, and told us the key code for the key safe box, so we were able to let ourselves in. This meant we were able to relax and enjoy our evening meeting up with friends, without having to go to B&B first.Although it was after 10pm when we arrived, we were still able to choose our breakfast option for the morning, and appreciated the convenience of having it delivered to our door at the time we had requested.

Etwas weit von Cambridge entfernt Das Thorn House liegt in Fen Drayton ca. 21 km von Cambridge entfernt, Fahrzeit ca. 40 Minuten – kleiner Ort mitten im ländlichen Bereich, einziger Pub montags geschlossen, keine Läden ; für alle, die ein ruhiges Landleben lieben – Annex mit Schlafzimmer und kleinem Esszimmer mit Kühlschrank und Mikrowelle – Zimmer nett im Vintage-Stil gestaltet und sauber – Bad ebenso, gute Dusche – sehr weiches Bett: am nächsten Morgen Rückenschmerzen – Gastgeber ist freundlich – schnelles wifi – Frühstück ok – verglichen mit zahlreichen anderen Unterkünften teures Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Quite a distance to Cambridge Situated in Fen Drayton about 21 km away from Cambridge; about 40 minutes driving time – right in the countryside; pub closed on Mondays, no shops; für those who enjoy rural life – annex with sleeping room and small dining room with fridge, kettle and microwave – rooms nicely decorated in Vintage style and clean – so is bathroom; good shower – soft mattress caused dorsal pains – friendly host – fast wifi – breakfast ok – compared with other accomodation less value for money.

Nice quiet B&B accommodation.
We arrived quite late but Alexander took the time to show us the accommodation and explain how things worked. He also explained about the breakfast options that were on offer. We said that we didn't eat meat, so the sausages were off for us, but he was able to offer vegetarian sausages too. He left us to decide on breakfast and to let him know what we would like. The house is in a very quiet road in the village so there was absolutely no disturbance at all. The accommodation was very comfortable and offered everything which we needed.

A beautiful, cosy, self contained apartment. Thank you for the yummy breakfast (brought to the door) and the barrel of biscuits! Alexander was a really friendly and attentive host. The bed was super comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay here and will definitely be back!

Very pleasant stay here. Room was spacious and had a lot of amenities. Was particularly impressed with the selection of films on offer to watch and the generous size of the breakfast. Would happily stay here again.

Interesting little flat
Stayed here a few times now when in area on business. Does well as a self-contained flat that the owner has added a breakfast-to-the-door service. Wonderful fresh orange juice and coffee in the morning (especially if you like strong coffee to get you started). Always clean and spotless.

Great service.
Great little B and B in the country side. Terrific service, very helpful. Not too far from a town with several pubs for food and drink. Birds get very active around 4 to 5 am so be prepared!!!

Arrived about 5.30pm Nici was waiting and greeted us. Show us to our room and recommended the local pub which gave a 10% discount to visitors to Thorn House This stay was so good we must find another reason to return, not like this visit which was to a friend funeral. Lovely, spotless,cheerful stay with a brilliant hostess. Also a pretty village which deserves a walk around it. All very very friendly, made you feel comfortable.After the pub meal and my breakfast I need to go on a diet !!
