Comment Expédia peut référencer un tel hôtel ???? Vous m'avez habitué à des ensembles corrects avec plus ou moins de bonnes et mauvaises choses ou équipements , mais là , nous avons touché le fond ...... Je n'en dirai pas plus et si vous le souhaitez , j'ai à vôtre disposition quelques photos , que je ne publierai pas ....

If you're expecting a pleasant stay and a good night sleep at night near the beach @ Tivai Beach Cottage then - FORGET IT. FORGET THE SLEEP, Because you WILL be greeted by Frogs, termites, cockroaches, spiders when they come to reclaim their territory. ------ On a serious note, we booked the place for two days and couldn't sleep for the first night because of the above mentioned issues+ power cuts (no power backup). Second day we had to check out and book another place. ------ The cottages are not maintained, there are termite infested , washroom is not completely sealed as a result frogs etc were hopping in. They don't provide: 1. Towels 2. Soap 3. Water (In short- there's absolutely no service) ----- Lost my trust on Beach Side Cottages

Only location is good else everything is bad.i booked for 4 nights and cleaning is done only single day in total 4 nights stay.the cleaning staff is very rude and said all idiot things while cleaning room as the main owner had left property with such rude fellows and they don't care whether what there guests feel.never to stay again at this cottages ever again .not recommended to foreigners also

Sleeping with Rats
Horrible experience here we slept with rats, cockroach,ants & frogs. This is my last booking from Hotels.com. Staffs are behaving like Animals. I will give this cottage 0 star.

Very worst place. 3rd class. Pls don't impress with fabricated photos of this hotel. The ground reality is so bad. Thousands of holes in wood wall any one can see you and your family from outside. Many open space at bathroom. Not good place for kids. I found frogs in bathroom. Also I found Centipede (कनखजूरा) No phone, no tv no food facility Also there is very worst mobile network. No general shop near by, no market place. Very difficult to reach at hotel Only 2 things good for this place 1st they uploaded good photo to impress customer & 2nd it's very near to beach Pls don't stay at this place if u want to enjoy your GOA trip.

Shabby cottages with dingy crowd
Had really a bad experience, the hotel is not on the beach. The details mentioned in the description is incorrect. The cottages & restrooms are super shabby.

Great place if you can handle heat and bugs
Stayed for 5 days and booked super last minute. The cottage was adorable but there was know where to hang a mosquito net which was a huge problem considering the cottage has holes everywhere. It was super hot during the day so I would say if you have the money get an ac cottage because it's 100% worth the money. I would also recommend getting your own cab and not through them because I ended up spending way more than I bargained for. If your a woman travelling alone be aware that this area is full of locals who drink from morning to night and that presented mass problems for me as seeing I am a woman, if you stand your ground they will leave you alone. They have absolutely amazing resteraunts and bars on the beach. It's a fabulous location and I would 100% go back

Do not stay here
This hotel is run down and not at all like the place pictured. It needs an overhaul and is quiet seedy right now. Smells of urine. I left without staying

Nice wooden cottage with beautiful siteseen of sea
we travelled all the beaches around the mapsa and the cottage is in the middle of the beaches which is very nice thing for an tourist. But for most ANJANA beach is very nice for siteseen and for the shopping. and BAGA beach is aussom for the water sports. all over calangute beach is the mind blowing one.

Расположение самое лучшее в Каллангуте, до пляжа 30 секунд!)) В домике есть все необходимое!) Пастельное белье и полотенца чистые!) Останавливаемся второй раз. В этот раз на второй день были замечены жуки, сообщили на ресепшн, их быстренько потравили, после этого спали под сеткой, она скученная висела в углу.

Right on the beach. Excellent location. At night dogs keep barking. Might get some critters in your room. Its almost a step above camping with AC.

I had a wonderful stay at tivai cottages. The cottages were nice, clean and well maintained. The cottages are just 2 min walk from the beach. The hotel staff was also good. They were always available there for any help.

Its 1 min walk to beach, very easy, but cottages made with wood, not that much stable, but you can stay . Families also can go, Ac working fine, 24 hours hot water here. But don't expect too luxury kind of interior , the only bad thing interior , but OK.

Our experience of this so called beach cottage was horrible. We were two families. Very first day we spent sleepless night because bed was so uncomfortable. There were mosquitoes in the rooms. In the end of october nights are chilling but they didn't provide us blanket!! Can you believe that? ?! They said they only give blanket to AC rooms! More the bathroom was leaking to whole room your luggage can get wet. The rooms were very dirty with sand. There was no room service at all. Nobody cares how you spend your time here. You cant ask for any help. Rooms had no enough window that can pass natural sunlight. They didn't provide hot water for bathing. This beach cottage has only one plus point and that is it's location. Its less than 100 mtr from the calungute beach. You can directly go to beach from the cottage. And obe more good thing is 'scotch'the pet dog is so cute and friendly. But I am sure you dont want to spend thousands of rupees to play with the dog!

Very close to the beach and away from crowd.
It has basic necessities for a Goan holiday where you don't require to sit inside the room. The staff got in touch a couple of days before arrival and sent SMS with location and option of a pickup. I promptly got a room on arrival. There were no unnecessary knocks on the door and the staff did not pester for tips. Everyday cleaning up was done promptly and when asked. There was absolutely no botheration from the hotel staff. The staff helped in sourcing a scooty with price way below the peak season. The place was safe for women, the guests were from well to do families and foreigners. The surroundings were clean and quite. In the night, I enjoyed the sound of waves. Chelsea shack, which is close to the cottage was another good experience. The food was good, view was amazing and the staff waited patiently for me to order. This was totally opposite of the experience at main Calangute beach, where the beach was full of pushy waiters who just wanted to make money by constantly forcing the guests to order more. To sum up, I got a good room with reasonable amenities, good location and was not forced into things I did not want to do.

Low standard cottage close to the beach.
Friendly staff, fairly clean, hard bed. Didn't try the breakfast that was served in an ugly restaurant beside the cottages from 10.00. Instead we took it at a beach restaurant. Dark narrow road to the busy, chaotic, main road - bring a torch.

Will Have Stay here Once Again
I Stayed here for 3-4 Days , its a Really Nice Cottage , U cant ask for Better at affordable price , Rooms Were Tidy , Hotel Management is Helping, i need to book Emergency Tickets , they helped me a Lot , The Big Plus Point is Top Notch Location, its hardly 20 feets away from beach , Chelsea beach Shacks serves Quality Food , lil bit costly though

I booked this hotel in last minute deal in Expedia.In a place like Goa, a traveler must focus more on places to visit,local transportation,Beach time,shopping, and hotel room should be the last thing on mind.Beach cottages are exactly built to serve that purpose. The cottages are located a stone throw away from the beach.They are built on eco-friendly wooden material,with hard floor.The rooms have comfortable bed for two with AC and Fan. A TV is an added feature which hardly anybody uses in Goa. One thing that may disappoint is the hot water supply as cottages run on Solar heater. You may not have it ready all the time however inform the reception guy and they will surely arrange.Its not something i would complain,means where do get to be in beach for hours and walk back straight to your room for a shower,get fresh and dry and walk back to Beach shack and have beer and food. Overall i would recommend if you are not a creature comfort guy. Its better avoided for Honeymoon couples as beds make quirky noise on movement and may not offer best privacy. The nearby places of interest would be Baga beach which you can visit for its buzz and activity.for everything else you can rent a bike or Car and visit any place you please.

Not worth the money
No sea-views, not even partial, its located behind a couple of beach shacks. Very basic amenities, old & smelly bathroom, no mosquito net, no ceiling fan, just an inadequate table fan. Service was fine but for $30/night you can do A LOT better.

One of the best places to stay in Calangute
Location: Half km from the main road but just hundred meters from the beach. One km from the Calangute beach entrance. Although it's not the main beach of Calangute but I felt that part of beach was way better, clean and quiet. A lot of nice shacks near the beach. So whenever we wanted to have fun on the beach we just ran there. Cottage Rooms: Not over the top clean and swanky rooms but the rooms were clean enough and had basic amenities. The cottages were hot in the noon (but since we were mostly out at that time or you can opt for AC rooms) and cold during night (but if you ask for an extra sheet, it's fine). Twenty Four hrs hot and cold water.

Great location for older couple
The beach huts are very basic, the beds are hard as nails and the bathroom leaves little to be desired, saying this the aircon worked perfectly, we had a TV and the huts are right on Calangute beach. This beach is full of older people couples, so for younger couples I wouldn't recommend this area! Other than that the hut was clean enough and safe!

20 metres from our 'cottage' to the Calangute shoreline was really this hotels only saving grace. Noisey in the early hours of the morning and a wash room with bad drainage that could turn even the strongest of constitutions. These inconveniences however didn't intrude on my friend and I having a fantastic time in this beautiful region.

Hi Sir, Thank you for the review. As you have not mentioned your name we are not able to locate which cottage you stayed in to check some of the things which you have mentioned. We have never got a review related to our drainage as we maintain the highest standards when it come to health.You can surely see this in the 35 plus reviews on TripAdvisor. We would like to clarify on this review that the local health authorities here do a bi monthly inspection on the drainage and other health and safety related aspects.We try and maintain the bathroom cleanliness to the utmost however is very sad that we got such a review. Wonderful location and great service
Nice cottage, the best part is it's located at beach. You can just walk to the beach. I would recommend this cottage to those who just want to enjoy the sea. Its not a luxury hotel but you get everything what you need to enjoy Goa. I would also highlight the service provided by Alister, he was always available for anything you need. Only thing which didn't went well was, we rented a car recommended by them. It was from their neighbor David, it was such a old car in very bad condition. This guy gave me the car in night, we couldn't use the car that day. He was so nice & friendly when we took the car but when we asked them to reduce the amount since we used it for just a day, he was so rude. I would never recommend to take rental car from that guy.

Good budget stay
Have been to goa a number of times, however this time, the stay at tivai was worth it! It is a perfect place for a 'budget stay'. There is nothing known as room service or hotel staff... Located 30 seconds (yes, 30 seconds!) off the beach.. the location is amazing and the shacks close by are decent...(I'd personally recommend Ritz Shack and not chelsea or glen's corner...). All in all, its a good place to park your bags and head out!! :)

Different experience than routine... nice!
This hotel may not be for all but it is very nice for those who dont mind simple living ... it is a bamboo house so it cant be luxorious ... but it had AC and it worked pretty good!

Excellent Budget place to stay
we booked tivai cottages for two nights and three days. It is situated exactly opp to calungute beach. U can get out and walk down to the beach. Its 45km from dabolim airport. U can always hire a taxi and also can contact hotel taxi driver ibrahim to arrange one for you in bargain rates. It will cost u around 750-800 rs.. and if u dont want to hire taxi u can directly go for the buses for panji from dabolim airport bus stop. Then from panji you can take bus for calngute. That will be much cheaper. There are lots of beaches close by so hire a bike instead of renting a taxi. Taxi walas will charge u 5 times higher than normal. Cottage is not good for the day stay as it gets too hot. At night you can have a nice sleep as everything cool downs fast. Cottages are not that clean but then again at this price you can't expect better than this. Overall Excellent budget place to stay near famous spots and beaches in goa.

Perfect place to stay for Couples
A unique place to stay, completely made of wood, really a unique experience for stay, need to have food provision, minimum tea provision should have been there, hospitality is good. They made provision of hiring bike, which was in really good condition. Worth staying over there for relaxation, coool beach in front , no crowd , To conclude A wonderful staying place .

Basic accommodation ok for short stop over
Basic beach shack accommodation which had the basics but could of been cleaner The toilet and shower area was a bit smelly and being relatively new accommodation this will only get worst. The huts could of done with more hooks to hang clothes on and shelving-however for a few nights on the beach, it was fine and Glen's Corner was a great place to eat next door.

Pleasant stay
We just went to relax for three days and we wanted to do it economically . We found this place amazing in terms of scenic view , proximity to sea and moreover the two boys who manage this place were very hospitable and helpful. I would really recommend this place if you want to enjoy Goa :) with minimum spending.....Enjoy your stay @ Tivai
