Cozy cottage on Lake Barkley in Cadiz Ky.Beautiful views of lake from the living room, screened porch, and your own private sandy beach. 2 adult kayaks and 1 child available for you to use at your leisure. Enjoy fishing, kayaking, swimming or just enjoying nature. Every season has a special feeling. Comfy king size bed and trundle bed with 2 twins for the little sit extra guests. Pocket doors to seperate area for privacy. Fully equipped kitchen, keurig, regular coffee pot and gas grill provided. 2 fire pits one on beach and one closer to cottage. Firewood on site. Land between the lakes offers the elk and bison prairie, the home place (1850ā€™s working farm), nature center, horseback riding, trails and 4 wheeler trails. Great antiquing in Cadiz some great boutiques and great resale shops.

Our stay was great. The cottage is clean, well maintained, and was thoughtfully stocked including extras (sā€™mores supplies, toiletries etc). Hosts were friendly and accommodating and the property was perfect for relaxing.

We have stayed in quite a few rentals through the years and this was the BEST!! Everything we needed was there. It was just what we needed to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings. We loved the screened in porch and the views from the living room. It rained while we were there but we didnā€™t mind because of the beauty surrounding us. It truly is a place of paradise! We look forward to spending more time there in the future!

Our stay was perfect. Was a perfect two night get away location. Being able to kayak directly off the property was our main reason for booking. Owners were extremely friendly and helpful. Will look into rebooking with them if we ever return to the area!

When we booked our stay, the listing said private beach. We expected to share it with 10 other houses. Nope! Itā€™s private! Itā€™s expanding. Itā€™s awesome! There was some natural debris but otherwise it was so clean! My two young children had a blast. It rained all day and the screened in porch was a nice way to continue taking in the water view. The cabin/house itself was very clean and several complimentary items made it so welcoming. Recommend over and over!

Wow just wow!! The pictures don't do this place justice. Its absolutely gorgeous! The little things put in place that you see when you walk in ( we will not ruin the surprises). The hosts where nothings but amazing and welcoming! Tue view of the lake was just beautiful!!! We will definitely be back again!!!

We absolutely loved our stay. The cabin was extremely clean. The full kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cookware, appliances and supplies so we brought all our own food. Lots of fun stuff to do outdoors but plenty comfortable to stay indoors if the weather isnā€™t great. Smart TV so you can watch Netflix, prime, etc with your own account. Bring your binoculars and have the Merlin app ready! The view of the lake and trees from the living room is perfect for bird lovers, and youā€™re close enough to the water to hear the waves if the windows are open. We saw eagles, herons, egrets, osprey, bluebirds, goldfinches, house finches, cardinals, and heard many more. The houses next door are very close but not intrusive and we still had plenty of privacy. Most relaxing vacation weā€™ve ever had. Canā€™t wait to go back!

Three of us stayed 2 nights and had a lot of fun using the kayaks to explore the lake and relaxing outside. Indoor space is really clean and they have all the amenities you would need. Only slight complaint is the sheets/bedding could improved.

My husband and I stayed here for Memorial day weekend and loved every minute. the house was great and well stocked. The view, the beach, fishing, kayaking and sunsets were unforgettable. The owners are helpful, friendly and there when you need but also respectful of your privacy. I feel they made sure we were taken care of from start to finish. The river made for the most beautiful kayak time ive ever had and wildlife everywhere!! thank you for a great trip

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay for our first anniversary get-away. It was clean and comfortable with a great location and more things to do than you have time for. The owners were great to work with. Their rate is a great deal compared to other options in the area. We hope to go back to this place again in the future.

Absolutely loved our stay! Kathy and Ron were fantastic and answered any questions we had. The cabin was just perfect for our long weekend escape. The views are wonderful day and night -- we enjoyed hearing the occassional boat cruise slowly by in the night on the lake and seeing its lights. Anything and everything needed was easily found -- utensils, dishes, pots, pans, Keurig, you name it. So relaxing. We will be back!
