Very Pleased!
The Fox Inn at Bury St Edmunds was within walking distance to everything we wanted. The superior room was so cute and even better than the pictures! We loved the staff! We would highly recommend and will stay there again when we come visit our kids and grandbabies💜

Quite unique, or maybe old style operation. Not for the travelers, but seems local people loves their way of service.

Really charming and helpful staff who didn’t seem at all phased by a same gender couple. Nicely decorated and comfortable room. On site free car park. Convenient easy walking distance from cathedral and rest of the centre of town.

Excellent superior room with plenty of space and lovely fixtures and fittings. ideal position for access to Bury st. Edmunds town centre with the added benefit of free parking..

I loved the room. It had character and was spacious and adequately furnished.and comfy bed. The shower was a bit fierce and no shelf to put things on perhaps because of no space Apart from that everything fine

The rooms are lovely, easy walk in to town or around Abbey Gardens over the road. Plenty of free parking outside the accommodation. Nice selection of in-room tea/coffee/chocolate and water but it's a pity this wasn't refreshed or any housekeeping done during the two-night stay. Breakfast was disappointing.

Issues paying for the room
This was booked for one of my colleagues through Hotels.com using the company credit card. The booking confirmation indicated that the payment would be taken by the hotel. The hotel was unable to take the payment without the card being present. They were also unable to take the payment over the phone. I use Hotels.com to ensure my colleagues are able to check-in without issue and know that their room is already paid for. Sadly, we won't be able to use this hotel again.

Top notch vacation
absolutely wonderful and the staff were great ambassadors for the company too. Lovely atmosphere and our room was absolutely 5 star. Only downfall was our meals but hopefully, they will have improved it now.

Was a very lovely hotel. Rooms where beautiful and comfortable as well as large. Only let down was the bathroom ceiling that the Supervisor told was needing a repaint as it wasn't done correctly. Would definitely stay there again.

Room 5 was lovely. Great big bed. Coffee and Tea including Green Tea One niggle. Only a rain shower over bath which is no good if you don't want to get your hair wet. So I had a bath but the plug was really difficult to get out due to no chain on it. Parking outside our room door. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. I enjoyed smoked salmon and scambled egg the first morning and advacado with poached eggs on toast on the second. Hubby enjoyed his full English Right opposite Abbey gardens which are lovely to wander through

This was our first time to Bury St Edmunds and our first stay in a Greene King Inn. Without doubt we'd highly recommend both. The room was comfortable and very clean. The parking very convenient, breakfast good and the service was great. Thank you to Givana and team at The Fox Inn.

Lovely Stay
Wonderful stay at this Inn, lovely room (apart from a problem with the radiator in the bathroom being on and unable to switch off - this was reported to management) Staff very friendly, especially Paul who was very helpful and informative. Breakfast good and plentiful. Did not eat at the pub of an evening but was popular with locals eating out. Great location being just over the road from the beautiful Abbey Gardens and within walking distance of everything in the town.

Fantastic size rooms plenty of space and really comfy beds. Nice to be able to park your car by the room. Really big bathroom with shower and bath. Great value for money and breakfast was superb. Will stay again.

The bedrooms were in converted stables behind the pub and were excellent. Very clean, comfortable and warm. The pub food, however, was very disappointing based on lunch on arrival and the cooked breakfast. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
