« Very nice property with a pretty little sitting area to watch the sunset over the lake. Very clean, neat and well equipped kitchen. Check in and communication with Matt was very easy. Nice parking spot just outside the pretty garden. Would recommend highly. It’s a great location for exploring the northern lakes district and easy to get to Keswick. Very quiet and peaceful location. A nice touch was a bouquet of fresh roses upon our arrival. »

« The property is set in a stunning setting, opposite Blencathra, in a really quiet location. Unfortunately, however, the cottage has a rodent problem. Each morning we'd find mouse droppings underneath the fridge, on window ledges and by the sink. On leaving we also discovered mice had chewed through one of our bags. »

« The property was in a state of disrepair, and it is noted the property currently has a “For Sale” sign, providing some understanding of the cause of the very poor state of the rental. Areas below acceptable standards were as follows: 1. Spiral staircase to top bedroom unsafe. Top handrail is unsecured, and a pole fell out one night while the stairs were not in use. « We enjoyed the impeccable and cosy cottage, well equipped and furnished during our 2 weeks stay. We ´particularly aprreciated thé welcoming presents (cake, jam and flowers) and the help given by the landlords. The location of the cottage is excellent as a starting point for hikes and discoveries the Lake District. We warmly recommend this experience. »

« What a lovely place in a beautiful location, west side of the Lake District. All the home comforts you could need including reclining sofa and a washing machine! Clean, comfortable and warm with excellent wifi connection. Thank you to the friendly hosts Colin and Lesley who were to hand if anything was needed but who were not intrusive or interferring at all. « This is a really lovely and immaculately maintained property, and one that provides and excellent base for exploring the Lake District. It is very well equipped and comfortable, and also nice and quiet - just the tonic if on a break. We enjoyed cooking and relaxing and also exploring the local area, which was new to us. « Bedroom wall had bad damp all over one wall which left a musty smell. Main room had only one blind which meant sun light woke me up at 4/30 am. Terrible mattress which was awful to sleep in. »

« We enjoyed our stay at Kotel. Good location, good wifi connection. However we would have liked to have had an electric hob as with only a microwave cooking was rather limited. Also not easy to wash up as no plug in the sink. Fortunately there was an ice bucket I could use to wash up!!!. Crockery was also limited to 2 sets only. Had to check with staff on site re disposal of our rubbish as bins not very big. It would also be good that the Kotel staff supply a brush and dustpan for sweeping up the...

« Nice caravan, situated close to all amenities, if you have stayed in a Haven Park before this caravan would be classed as a Bronze accommodation, to give you the comparison if you were to book your stay with Haven direct. Weather was great, park very busy with the weekend campers (tents) this area was packed, kids play park was a free for all, I would say too small for the amount of families staying onsite, wonder what the middle of summer holidays would be like when all caravans and camping...
