Hello, anonymous. Yes, you do need to shop and the majority of guests understand we are a self catering resort which means you do purchase your own salt and pepper etc or get some of those things from our pre-loved selection in the office. We may be a little dated but we are in the best spot in Cable Beach. If we were brand new, we would not be in such a good spot.

All in all, you seem to be quite okay with your stay with us. As you sign yourself ''anonymous'' we cannot check on your complaints because we don't know which apartment you were in. You should have come to see us while you were still here.

Hello Anonymous. We are a self catering resort and give you enough supplies on arrival to use until you can shop for yourself. We are not a hotel and so operate differently as do most resorts in Broome. It looks like overall you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to seeing you again some time.

I guess you are upset because you could not have a late checkout. I can't think of any other reason.

Not a vary fair review when you don't say who you are or what your issues were and hide behind anonymity. The least anyone can do is to see management and say what their problems are and we have had no complaints. Nothing can be fixed if you don't know what it is. I hope your life improves.

Dear Ralph, Nice that you were happy with a couple of things about your stay and very disappointing were your comments with regard to rooms and service. We do perform a mid clean after 7 days. I just don’t see how you could have been missed as all due are computer generated. If, as you say, you were missed, why didn’t you come and see us in reception so we could do the clean? Our housekeepers work very diligently to deliver clean rooms. You say the room was tired and in need of repair but we have just had our resort upgraded to 4 ½ star by the AAA which does not happen if that is the case. There are units within our complex that are not under our control (Airbnb etc) and some are not up to standard. Perhaps you stayed in one of those. Would you please ring me so I can verify your booking and check the unit you stayed in. I would really like to speak with you about this. 08 9158 3300 Regards Dawn – Owner/Manager

Dear runningoma. Thank you for your time expressing your feelings. We do not actually know how to respond to it, as it is in German. When you came in to our office to complain, you were offered a free upgrade to a large family unit, which you declined. We question your motives and will leave it at that. Readers will judge our resort based on the general feedback from all guests and not just on a particular one. Our housekeeping work tirelessly every day to deliver clean and comfortable rooms to our guests. Broome and the surrounding Kimberley area offer unique challenges for accommodation providers, especially during our "wet season", but that is no excuse if we did not deliver a room that satisfied your expectations.

This is the latest of a list of upgrades we have completed the last few years, with Broome Beach Resort's management and unit owners fully committed to continue this process. Scheduled cleaning is included depending on the duration of a reservation, with extra services available on request at a fee.

From the notes I have on file, the pool was out of service for a short time due to a technical issue with the filtration.
