Poor communication and many issues not resolved
We arrived for check in and could not find the reception area as the entire front of resort was under construction and trucks blocked all the signs/walkway. After finally finding the desk they told us our unit was booked already ( not by us) after about 20 minutes of them talking back and forth someone says " wait Oliver called this morning and said your unit has maintenance so we are giving you a similar unit". NO communication from Oliver about either of these issues. We finally get our newly assigned unit. Basically a small hotel room with a small kitchen, fine for 2.
The information packet talks about covid distancing( super old I guess). We needed pool towels. We called the desk services, Dead tone/doesn't ring. We text the services number to ask. I answer all the questions. Over an hour later someone texts " sorry I did not see your message".
The coffee maker does not have filters that fit. There was 1 spoon in the unit for potentially 4 people.
Finally we get into bed. IT WAS CLEARLY dirty sheets, not just a small amount of accidental hair but clearly dirty etc.
No choice but to sleep anyway. Sent message to host using VRBO and He says what unit??? seriously ? Nothing got corrected. Then the next day our keys for the room and building stopped working, necessitating 2 more trips to the desk where they set up the room door but not the building door. I could never get ahold of the host directly and never got any feedback or resolution.
