Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally located beach cottage. Only 5 houses from the beach and 1 house away from the bay! Making both bodies of water conveniently accessible with the perks of the island breeze. Access to shared pool and out seating area with three other small cottages. Centrally located between the Manatee and Cortez bridges, helpful when trying to avoid traffic on or off the island.

Perfect location
My husband and I rented this unit for our 30th wedding anniversary and we cannot be happier with our decision! The location is perfect, just a short walk to the beach, or to the free trolley bus stop…no need to move the car if you don’t want to. The apartment was perfectly clean and beautifully decorated. My only recommendation is that the mattress needs to be changed and the coffee maker requires Keurig coffee cups and the ones left at the apartment, were from a different brand so we couldn’t use the coffee maker. I think that considering the price we paid, coffee should have been provided. But, we still had a great time and enjoyed the beautiful beach and sunset. We will definitely come back!

Just Right!
We loved this place. 3 high school girlfriends turning 60 came for a long wknd. Walked to restaurants/bars/beach days. It was all just lovely. Cleaning lady and neighbor became part of our friend group and had a blast. We would rent this place again.

Great location and nice place!
Eleanor was great about communicating with us and following up on any questions we had. The bungalow is small but has been updated and is in great shape. Having the pool area to hang out in was an added bonus and gave you more space. The place is in a great location. The bay is a few houses away with wonderful views and the beach is about a block away. There are a few restaurants in walking distance and a Community Center with winter activities.

Great Location on AMI
This property actually has 4 separate units on one lot. The bungalow that we stayed in was very clean and well maintained. You are only a couple hundred yards to the beach. The property is about halfway between the Cortez bridge and the Manatee bridge. It was easy walking distance to everything on the central part of the island. When we return to AMI on future trips, we will probably be staying here again. I can't recommend it highly enough!.

Cute, clean, convenient cottage on AMI, but...
The cottage (one in a group of four cinderblock shotgun homes) is recently updated, clean, and conveniently located on the bay side of AMI and within walking distance to the beach. However, a couple of things to note before you stay: 1. The cottage really isn't equipped to handle four people. The second sleeping area is the main room on a very uncomfortable sofa bed, and because the front door has no screen or privacy shade on the transom, anyone walking by the front door can look right into the "bedroom." The parking is located three feet from the front door, with the path from another cottage to the parking and the pool right in front of the cottage, so this does happen. We made it work for our late teen/early 20s kids with some posterboard over the transom, but it's not ideal. 2. Each afternoon and evening we stayed, there were groups of 12-20 people at the pool until 10:30-11. Because the cottages are so small with only enough room for ~4, we assumed the other cottages had been rented out by groups hoping to take advantage of the pool for parties. The master bedroom of this cottage shares a wall with the pool area, so it was LOUD. We let Eleanor know of the situation halfway through our stay and after that the volume was turned down after 9:45 p.m., but we were unable to use the pool at all during our stay. Eleanor was responsive during our stay but has not yet reached out about these comments, which we sent to her privately immediately after our stay.

Cute cottage, but
Loved the location. It was very clean, however the sofa bed was broken and the mattress was super flat to a point of sleeping on the springs which made for a very uncomfortable 6 day vacation. The kitchen was missing some essential equipment. Other than that the cottage was super cute and close to the beach. If the sofa bed is replaced we will surely return.
