Auberges à Bowness-on-Windermere

« clean room, all you can order breakfast »

« Bel hôtel calme et confortable. Personnel agréable et souriant. Chambre spacieuse et confortable. Petit déjeuner et repas de qualité et un large choix de bières. »

« Great location if you’re coming and going by train. Ask for a room “not” facing the street - mine did and even with ear plugs the traffic noise was quite loud. (Doesn’t help old school single pane windows which I suppose is common there.) Shower was also weak and stain on duvet cover was, even though small, gross. That said, location, staff and breakfast (included) were great. »

« Lovely room. We booked the dog friendly room and we had dog bowls, and a doggy treat pack including toy, treats & poo bags. Nice little touch! Great food as always, lovely full English breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Would definitely recommend. »

« Excellent dejeuner.Grande courtoisie du personnel. »

« Charmant petit hôtel de passage, les chambres sont assez confortables. Petit point à revoir sur la literie et la propreté de la salle de bain. Nous y avons dîné 2 fois et la nourriture était bonne. Bon rapport qualité / prix! »

I think Expedia have been misleading not detailing the facts about that particular...

« We used the Hare & hounds as a stopover on our way home but will give serious consideration to returning to explore the Lakes from there »

« Dejligt sted. Skøn natur omkring hotellet og rigtig god atmosfære. God mad og venlig betjening. »

« Very pleasant stay. »

« Loved this inn. Staff very helpful. Rooms newly renovated and large bathroom. Food at the pub downstairs was good and breakfast was great! »

« This was our first time staying at an independent hotel and we were welcomed by a polite staff member. However, the conditions of the room and amenities of it could’ve been better such as the shower, the floor and walls. The shower was mouldy, the floor was very squeaky for both our room and neighbours making the noise doubled and the walls had no purpose whatsoever as they were so thin , hearing neighbours frequently. Our breakfast on the last morning wasn’t served to us and we got told to go...
