Staying in the "King suite" in the basement was a terrible experience. The walls and floor above have no sound proof. You can hear ppl talking in the rooms around it. Ppl walking in the room upstairs all night then first thing in the morning kept us awake because the floors creek horribly. Ceiling in the bathroom was falling apart. Walking down this crazy set of stairs with luggage was terrible. It was a bad experience for our trip.

I loved this hotel, easy check in and check out!! Great instructions. Only note, for the hotel, wish the hallways were cleaned better, and bottom floor was rough with people walking around at 2am

Located in an great location for the North Shore. Busy traffic area but handled with understanding. Across the street from one of the best breakfast havens I have visited. Extensive renovations underway. Basement rooms a bit claustrophobic and the bathroom has a hard to understand layout e.g. location of the toilet. Cleaning could be improved. The stairwells to the basement are narrow and dark, the west stairwell basically unuseable. Room are well equipped and sleep was comfortable. I'd return but only with a ground floor or second floor room.

This property is a dated building with some updates. There is no property management on-site. The lower level rooms are in the basement and are very dark.

Contactless check-in was easy, they contacted me before check-in with my room number and entry code. The room was really clean and spacious, and it was close to restaurants and grocery stores.

Small, quaint hotel in a nice part of Beverly. Felt like a small town. Friendly and helpful staff with comfortable suites. Very, very quiet and restful.

The picture portrayed it as a modern Inn but the updated part was only the office part and the back part was a motel. The musty chemically smell hit us as soon as we opened the door and after a short time it was all you could smell and taste. Our clothes hair etc soaked in that smell.

Long trip, perfect ending!
I’ve been traveling for about a month with a friend and we’ve been last minute lodging for the duration. From the bigger cities to the smaller towns we have stayed in all different types of places. This was the most perfect place of them all due to its central location steps away from anything you could possibly need. Quiet and inexpensive, with plenty of space in the King Suite to stretch out. Kitchenette was perfect for us a well as tv with plenty of channels if that’s your thing. Was super easy to check in and easy to extend when we decided last minute to stay a day longer. This is for sure a gem I will stay here every time I come back this way as to visit. Thank you for a great stay!

Check in was easy and the text responses from the front staff was timely and useful. Newly renovated rooms were comfortable and clean but our room beds (lower 15) the beds seemed a little used and were saggy with imprints. The lower steps from parking lot had old and dirty carpet that looked sad and used.

Very nice property. The room was well appointed and clean. The contactless check-in was convenient. I don’t usually stay at motel like properties but this one I would recommend.

The entire place smelled like pine sol. The room we booked didn’t match what we booked online. It was a nice quiet spot. Chair broken when someone sat in it.

Exceptional value. Exceptional attention to detail with all the amenities provided and regular communication with our host. We were assigned a suite in the lowest level basement. There is a steep stairwell leading to the unit that made it challenging to bring luggage in if you have any mobility impairments. I do plan on staying here again, I will request accommodations on the first floor.

2nd time we've stayed at the Beverly, we have family in the area so we're up a couple times / year to visit. Great location, quiet. Rooms are clean and spacious, beds are comfortable. Excellent hotel! We'll be staying again in the future.

One Night
The communication was fabulous! The room was a lower level, and had a basement odor, despite the air purifier. The bathroom has a suspended ceiling, mold and peeling paint on the pipes.... The room was clean, towels & linens fine.

Very comfortable apartment like hotel room, convenient location and parking. Really liked the place a lot. The older building has been nicely updated in the rooms, still a little noisy between rooms and some road noise. But very comfortable and convenient and great value. self check in so easy.

Love the fact that the train to Salem or to Boston was so close, quick walk. The space is clean. Easy to get in easy to get out. The only thing is that it’s a very simple space no over Decour or extras but if you’re looking for a nice clean place it’s safe and easy to get around. It’s a perfect place.

Clean, welcoming space. The commuter train to Boston is a very short walk away, and the Depot Diner is just across the road. We really enjoyed our stay at The Beverly, and would stay here again if we're ever in the area.

Our room was clean, and we enjoyed the kitchen. But…there was a window unit right above the headboard of our bed. It was somewhat like a truck motor running all night long. The establishment is older, somewhat well maintained, but not worth what we paid ($400/night). There was no daily cleaning - there was a storage closet where you could get your own supplies. Hotel link in email did not work - had to txt someone to get the code for the closet. Also, there was no extra lock on the inside of the front door for added protection. Anyone with the code could have just walked right in. We could hear every step the people above us made. We booked late and didn’t have a lot of choices for lodging. Won’t be staying here again.

The rooms at this hotel are spacious and clean. It is also located across the street from the train station. It was the perfect place to stay for our Halloween trip to Salem. (10 minute train ride to Salem from the hotel). Although I didn’t see any staff on property, they are constantly communicating with you via texts and emails to make sure you are happy and if there is anything that we needed. We will definitely stay here again next year.

The king sized bed in the bedroom was wonderful! We only stayed one night and it wasn't exactly the location we thought it would be, but that is our fault. The customer service was wonderful and communication was superior!
