The host never provided check-in details, despite multiple messages and a phone call over several days. Just four hours before check-in, I received a message saying the property was “inhabitable” and they could no longer host. They stated they would cancel the reservation, but instead marked it as if I had stayed, forcing me to dispute the charge to get a refund. While emergencies happen, the total lack of communication until the last minute, the vague explanation, and the false claim that I stayed all point to a deeply unprofessional experience. If the property truly became unavailable, it should have been handled transparently and promptly, not ignored until I chased them down. Based on my experience, I would not book again and suggest others exercise caution.
