Hop on the Blue Ridge Parkway, less than four miles away, to enjoy the layered mountain views from the overlooks, or take a hike on one of the trails or around the lakes. Downtown Blowing Rock offers local dining, shopping, and an expansive park with tennis and basketball courts less than 15 minutes down the road. Take advantage of High Country adventure at Appalachian Ski Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad, High Gravity Adventures, and Mystery Hill. The cabin is less than eight miles from Boone and Appalachian State University, home to local shopping, dining, and Boone Golf Course. The quaint Valle Crucis Community is sixteen minutes away, where guests will find the historic Original Mast General Store and the riverside Valle Crucis Community Park.

High Country Hideaway is a cozy log cabin with mature trees and mountain views.The main floor has exposed log walls and tongue-and-groove vaulted ceilings. Hardwood floors throughout the open living area give the room a light, cozy feeling. The living room has comfortable furniture around a wood-burning stone fireplace. Curl up in front of the fire after a day of hiking or skiing and watch a favorite movie or game on the HDTV. The dining area, with seating for six, and kitchen are open to the living area, so guests can easily visit while preparing a meal. The covered porch, accessed from the living room, spans the length of the home and offers rocking chairs, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee while taking in the cool mountain air and views. Relax around the fire table and share stories of your mountain adventures. Downstairs, the game room will be a favorite gathering place as guests play a friendly game of pool, or watch the big game on the TV equipped with YouTube TV. The lower deck is home to the hot tub, where you can unwind at the end of the day.

High Country Hideaway is a four bedroom and three bathroom cabin that can comfortably accommodate up to eight guests. The master bedroom is located on the top floor and has a queen bed, TV, and an ensuite bathroom. The main floor features a queen bedroom with TV and a twin bedroom with two twin beds and a TV. These bedrooms share a jack-n-jill bathroom. The lower level has an additional queen bedroom with a jack-n-jill bathroom with a step-in shower.

Additional amenities include WiFi, laundry room, and central heating and air conditioning on the main level and lower level. The loft and top floor bedroom do not have air conditioning, but do have baseboard heat. Dogs are not permitted at the cabin. The home has parking for three vehicles in a level parking area and a short steep driveway. Please note that there is a security camera that captures the parking area and a camera at the front door.
