Selected this place due to its location on the greenbelt and views of the river. We loved being able to walk to everything! The place was a nice size and very clean. Parking and entry to the rental can be challenging. I'd recommend adding stepping stones and trimming the tree if patio entry is required. Speaking of the patio, we had planned to use this space as it was a major reason for selecting this rental. Unfortunately, the area smelled like sewer making it undesirable and unusable for our two-night stay. Shared this information with the property manager upon check out. Their response was they noticed the smell PRIOR to our checking in and that they would contact the city (noticed sewer manhole covers at the property, but others down the path didnāt smell). No apology or advance warning. Avoided reaching out during our stay as we didn't want a potential disruption. Had I received a more favorable response to the issue, I would not have mentioned it here and the overall rating would be higher. Like another reviewer stated, the bed is hard. Maybe a mattress topper would help. I agree with another reviewer about the communication being off-putting. There is a more professional, service-friendly way to communicate that early check in is not permitted unless given approval. Iām assuming others have attempted whatās noted, but I donāt need to receive a full description more than once. Overall, it is a great place and could be fantastic if some issues were remedied.
