« The photos on the website are not at all what the rooms look like. The room was dirty, the hangers all 3 of them had dust on them, the luggage rack was dirty and dust. No water pressure. We had to leave after one night »

« Great Historic Building with a very fresh look and helpful staff. »

« **Outstanding Customer Service – Thank You, Victor!** Victor provided exceptional customer service during our stay at Best Western Ottumwa Inn & Suites. He was incredibly helpful, supportive, and cooperative, and went above and beyond to assist us whenever we needed help. His kindness, patience, and willingness to help made a real difference in our experience. It’s rare to come across someone who genuinely cares about guests and does everything possible to make their stay comfortable and...

« Expedia web site doesn't have anything to choose a handicap room. »

« The service was great. But the air in one room the nob was broken and the hair dryer in the other room didn't even work. »

« This is an older hotel but dont judge a book by it's cover. The room was clean ( no carpet!)and just what we needed for a quick one night stay. The staff was nice. The only thing I could complain about was the washcloths were on the old side. »

« Overall good, clean, hotel room. The restaurant is closed down when I was there in October 2026, which was a bummer. Other than that it was fine. Breakfast was minimal, but fine. I would stay there again. »

« Very clean hotel, great staff would definitely stay again.they get bonus points for having a box fan for me and an extra charger... But that breakfast is awful. It's all warmed up microwave food, nothing but carbs and processed foods disgusting. Like probably the worst breakfast I've had at any hotel I've ever stayed at. »

« The place was comfortable and clean and the AC worked great! There are a lot of stairs, if you can't do stairs will not be a good place. »

« We loved this perfect property. We met and enjoyed this sweet hostess, Mindy. The place was fantastic and we so enjoyed our entire stay. It couldn't have been a more relaxing, clean, and welcoming place. NOTE: We had a lot of difficulty with finding this property. We are from many states away from Southern Iowa and Northern Missouri. Plus, we are senior citizens, so we struggle with new ways to book places to rent and how to communicate with others. Younger renters would not have struggled to...

« Host was responsive and check in and out was smooth. Love how close to the lake this property is and good parking. Good WiFi connection. Property could be cleaner. There was leftover moldy potatoes wedges in the oven that I had to clean out. Main thing I did not like about this location is the train that came through every few hours throughout the night and day. Day was fine but very disruptive to sleep at night. »
