« Excellent accueil. Restaurant sur place à conseiller. Petit déjeuner buffet très complet. Un peu loin du centre pour y aller à pied, mais parking sur place. Hôtel agréable en dehors d'un seul petit détail : la lumière blafarde dans la chambre qui lui donnait un air sinistre le soir, qu'elle n'avait pas la journée. »

« A lovely place to stay in a quiet, pretty village surrounded by lovely countryside. The staff were excellent and so friendly. The bed was very comfortable and the room was decorated to a high standard. I appreciated the fridge with cold bottles of water and fresh milk. The breakfast was substantial and tasty (I loved the vine tomatoes). I would definitely recommend The Sally to friends. »

« This hotel/inn is probably one of the nicest in the world and stands above all others that we visited on our 12 day road trip through Scotland and England in August 2019. From the reception to the nice and communicative bar atmosphere to the silky linen, the jacuzzi (that worked) and the extraordinary breakfast (eggs Benedict), we felt transported onto a new level of comfort. The String of Horses Inn is a bit isolated, so future travellers should have a little juice left in their smartphones,...
