Resort dans un cadre idyllique
Très bel aménagement de cet ancien moulin. Le cadre est magnifique, la plage à côté très belle. Le petit déjeuner très agréable. La seule ombre est le rapport qualité prix du restaurant: cher pour ce qui est servi.

The team at the Sugar Mill restaurant were all pleasant, courteous, and customer service oriented. I also appreciated My. Irvine Bay Resort’s efforts at communicating the issues with the water service interruptions, and their frequent personal check-ins to see if we had any concerns. We also appreciated the invitation to the Management Cocktail hour and their attempt to get to know us on a personal level and another opportunity to address concerns. We were extremely impressed with the young and smart management team we interacted with. We believe that they will bring new and innovative ideas by “thinking outside the box” and make the resort a success, if given the opportunity. The Mt Irvine Bay Resort team were also very responsive to my questions via chat prior to our trip. However, I wish there was better communication and transparency about the operations of transportation to and from the airport and the Spa services that are provided on the property. In communicating with the hotel, I was told via chat that “the service charge will be applied to your resort account for payment prior to your checkout.” But, this was not the case as the taxi fee turned out to be a cash transaction between ourselves and the driver. And, when I inquired about Spa services, it also turned out to be a cash transaction because it was separate from the resort. All in all, we enjoyed the warmth of the Mt. Irvine Bay Resort team and their commitment to making our stay as enjoyable as possible.

Thank you for your feedback. A majority of our guests rent vehicles, book island tours and relax on our beach during daylight hours. On a property as large as ours, this may have contributed to your experience over your two day stay. Your comment is noted.

The television in the room did not work & we were told that there was an issue with the cable company .However, there should have been a back up plan so we could have watched local Channels at least. Cats were lurking around the dining area while we were eating . Not a good look

I would not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. There were two roaches in my room, the water pressure in the shower was very low and the overall cleaniness and service at the hotel was very poor. AVOID!!!!!

The property is dated, and undersubscribed at the time, so staff seemed below standard. The meal options were extremely limited. On day 1, it was quite difficult to gather whwre lunch was served, as the mentioned areas werent manned..but the staff friendliness improved and reception staff was very accommodating.

The property is located in a nice area of the island, walking distance from the beach. It was very quiet. The room was was not fancy, but was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had issues with the wifi coverage in the room. There was only coverage on the patio and outside of the room entrance.

After a storm, there was no WiFi for a week despite other hotels having it. The room was not cleaned during the entire stay and the hotel is in desperate need of maintenance. The restaurant is also overpriced with no other (safe) options nearby. That said, some of the staff were very helpful and kind.

Staff was really nice. The place is also Beautiful with nice ocean views. The are doing some renovations on some of the rooms so we did hear an occasional drilling or hammer but once you are in the room you hear notting. Room we got was pretty and had a modern feel but stepping out on the balcony you feel like you are in nature. Beach was a 5-10min walk and you have to cross the road. We went to a fish fry even on the beach hosted by the hotel on the beach and it was really good, food and bon fire was exciting. We did not use the pool and much other amenities but the free breakfast on a morning was great and enough to start your days on the right foot.

I received a free shuttle from the Ferry port. Check-in was quick and easy. The room was nice. My main issue being the AC that stopped working on my our last night. The water takes a little while to heat up. The pool is heated and lovely! The staff are friendly and helpful. They can assist you with arranging transportation as well. The only meal we ate there was breakfast and it was ok. The dinner restaurant staff need training. The menus are 1 page so don't expect too much variety.

Please do not be deceived by this property, they Advertise a lot of amenities that they do not have. We did not have any Wi-Fi, no TV, no bartender at dinner, A very limited bar at the “swim up bar”, no one was available at the so-called spa anytime we went, there were no wash cloths on the property, they did not have fresh towels when we were leaving to go to the beach. The price does not justify what you are provided, very disappointed in this location and it was a very disappointing time for myself and a party of nine which included an 80 year old woman and they placed our room at least a mile away from the front desk and we were not provided a wheelchair or any assistance to get her around the grounds until the last day. The general manager has alleged to provide some compensation towards our stay, and I am currently still awaiting this. Two stars at best and that is just because the staff was friendly and the breakfast was good.

You kindly acknowledged our situation and advised our agent that these challenges would not become issues for you and your traveling companions. You mentioned that you had planned many activities on the island and did not plan on utilising those specific hotel amenities.Your group was also provided with an upgrade in room category from standard rooms to cottages to provide additional comfort and space. The resort accommodates guests with mobility challenges as possible and with advance notice. Unfortunately, our one wheelchair was being utilised by another guest who informed us of their requirement in advance. Once it was available, we provided your group with access.Compensation arrangements have been made as per your conversation with the General Manager through Expedia. You will be notified once the process has been completed.We are glad that you found the staff to be helpful and friendly and enjoyed your breakfast.

We originally paid for a pool view room was put in a garden view room. When asked to be moved had to wait. It was moved to a lesser nice room, no refrigerator no microwave coffee machine didn’t work. Only one restaurant was open for limited time. Gift shop wasn’t open. No concierge, pool hours closing at six. No communication as far as dinner times, Or other activities at the facility. The staff was overall very friendly. I thought it was expensive for the amenities and services provided. Free breakfast and free transportation to and from the airport was a plus beardie was wonderful enjoyed the education about Tobago!

Thank you for your detailed feedback; we will investigate your concerns. We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced at check in regarding your requested view. You were provided with an upgraded room category facing the garden. The next room you were shown and accepted had a pool view in your original room category confirmed. We have two main restaurants open daily including the Sugar Mill and the Beach facility. We also serve food and beverage to the pool deck through the Sugar Mill and the pool bar. Hours are posted in the lobby for these outlets. We have a spa, gym and golf course on property which offer guest services/activities. We also partner with a watersports company located beside our beach for various water-based activities. This information is also outlined in our lobby and our reception staff can assist with arrangements to access these services/activities upon request. Our pool closes when the sun sets which is usually around 6pm. This ensures that the noise level from this area of the resort is at a minimum in the evening; this ensures that guestrooms in the pool area are not disturbed. It is good to know that you are satisfied with our airport transfer service and enjoyed our breakfasts during your visit. Hopefully, you will visit again in the future and see how we have improved thanks to your comments.

Beach towels are available at our main reception desk and additional bath towels/toilet paper can also be requested through our main reception desk as required. In keeping with accepted COVID health procedures, housekeepers do not enter your guestroom during your stay unless requested. Our Sugar Mill restaurant is one of the largest on the island. We are happy that you enjoyed your experience into some of Tobago's history at the resort.

Property is deceiving. The outside looks nice, but the rooms are in terrible condition; the bed is like sleeping on a cardboard box, and the bathroom is so bad. The head of the shower was disgusting, the sink had mold, and there was hair on our door knob. We got two rooms, and both were disgusting. We stayed one night, so we dealt with it. The pool was full of debris and floating bugs. The staff mentioned someone would come but never did. The staff was friendly, from the receptionist to the bartender. We also had to pay extra to check in around noon, which was $40.00 per room. Also, another guest, we overcharged for 2 cups of soup, which equaled 90.00 US. A ripoff. If you want decent rooms, please go somewhere else. Our driver mentioned the hotel was in excellent shape and robust when his mother worked there. It seems to have gone way downhill. I will say they did provide us complimentary transportation to the airport, which was great.

When you expressed dissatisfaction just after check-in, we offered alternate accommodation which was viewed and accepted by you. Our pool is maintained daily and the water quality is monitored. The condition you have described was not reported by other guests during the night you stayed at the resort. Our restaurant charge for a bowl of soup is under US$10 per person; Our restaurant bills are written in local currency (TTD) rather than USD so your recollection of a bill of US$90.00 for two bowls of soup is in error Our resort check-in time is 3pm and checkout is 12 noon. An early arrival service is offered at an extra fee and is agreed to in advance. We offer a free alternative which is to have your luggage stored until the 3pm check-in time. We are glad that you enjoyed the complimentary airport taxi service provided.

Mount Irvine Bay Resort is a quiet and relaxed type of resort, where the staff are always ready to help and the food is supreme. Will recommend for adults who want a quiet place to relax. There isn't anything for kids to do besides hang out in the pool.

The staff was very pleasant and very attentive to my 2 year old son especially. Everything was pleasing except for the beds which were extremely hard. When we provided the feedback will departing, we were told that we could have requested the additional mattress top for the bed. This I found extremely disappointing and shocking as I have never had to request this as an additional option in any of the several hotels I have stayed at. This is poor and needs to be improved.

Thank you for your review, we appreciate your comments. We are sorry that you found our beds uncomfortable and the our suggestion for alleviating your discomfort came at the end of your stay. We rarely receive negative comments about our beds but do keep the mattress-top solution available upon request for those that wish a softer sleeping surface. The property was absolutely beautiful. Its filled with such amidst culture especially in the design of the lobby. The staff was very friendly always willing to help. The rooms were spacious and clean. Overall, I had a great time!

The staff service was excellent, very accommodating and polite for the most part. The facilities however are very old and worn. There is need for refurbishing of rooms especially for the price we paid.

Our General Manager followed up with you directly regarding the electricity issue that affected many in our area with alternate arrangement options for your stay. You opted to remain with the resort for your first night and accepted the GM option to relocate you for your second night. He has remained in communication with you during and after the issue to ensure your comfort has been maintained. We have worked with our utility provider to ensure that the situation is resolved and kept the lines of communication open with all of the affected guests.
