Great stay
Very nice stay, comfortable bed, clean room. I would definitely stay here again next time. My stay in this old property was quite relaxing.

Lovely hotel with gym and pool area. Didn’t try the gym but pool was good. Steam room and jacuzzi which were tried. Only stayed one night and en route to the Cotswolds.

Pros - friendly attentive staff everywhere, good breakfast Cons - entrance and car park dangerous to get through, like craters! Facilities and room are dated, needs urgent repairs (like in spa area). Location not ideal next to railway Compared to other properties not worth 4 star, more like 3

This hotel has lots of character but is in need of a refresh. Had our wedding reception here in 1998 and it doesn’t appear to have been decorated since. TOILETS IN rick’s bar are badly in need of refurbishment. Wonderful hotel that just needs some TLC and bringing into the 21st Century.

We attended a wedding and stayed over night. Lovely old hotel. The bridal entrance down the staircase was beautiful. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The wedding food was really lovely. The bed was very comfy, everything nice and clean. Breakfast was good, weren’t keen on the sausage myself. Overall it was a lovely stay, everyone had a great time.

Friendly and pleasant staff. Quality food and service. Room very clean and warm, a few bits of maintenance required in bathroom. Corridors look a little tired but it is an old manor so kind of in-keeping.

Room was outside accessed to separate building. Room was very clean and modern. Downside was bar area was not big enough to accommodate more than 30 people and breakfast selection was not very good croissants and pain au chocolate hard. Chaotic due to event night before

Disappointing four poster bedroom.
We stayed in a room with a four poster bed, which obviously cost more money. You therefore don’t expect to have mould all over the bathroom ceiling. The water pressure in the shower was far too powerful which meant spray went everywhere and probably causes the mould on the ceiling. The room was pretty dated, and needs some modernisation. A fire exit was blocked by a table in the dining room which was reported to the management. The food was good but dinner in the restaurant was overpriced. The gym was very small but ok, and the pool/jacuzzi area was nice although also needed some maintenance . Staff were friendly.

We were unfortunate to be staying when a wedding was on, so parking was difficult, there was a large crowd and it was noisy till late with the party. The staff were busy and rushed and the hotel is very dated and in need of investment. The showers leaked and we had lukewarm water, additionally we were charged extra for a specific room which we did not get. Very disappointing stay and certainly not worth the price we were charged. Unlikely to make an effort to stay there again.

The hotel and staff are lovely, we chose it for its quiet location and for its closeness to the NEC. When we arrived we saw there was a wedding on but we were away from that so it wasn’t a problem, however another party was taking place in a function room near our room. We were told it would all be finished by 12 so we thought it would be okay, but at 1 am it was still going in, there was shouting and singing in the grounds outside our room and people being very loud in the corridor outside our room as they moved from one place to another. In all we probably got 4 hours sleep. The Sunday night was as expected, very quiet and tranquil. Hotels make money off functions but a 12 midnight finish should be just that, it’s unfortunate people don’t have respect for other people and there should be ‘quiet’ areas around sleeping areas.

All in all a good 2-night stay. The only issue was the shower in the bathroom. I struggle with fixed head and height showers and this one was far too high. The angle of shower head could not be adjusted either. The small screen was fixed to the wall & bath, so the floor got soaked not me! Dinner was lovely although pricey, so we only dined here for one night. Excellent location for our trips to Warwick Castle and Cadbury World.

Property is full of olde world charm but bathrooms need modernising - very 1980s. We had three rooms booked but unfortunately they put two of us in one building and one in another. Very good breakfast but it used to be cooked to order and now it is buffet in the hallway.

One huge pitty that really put a damper on what would have been a fantastic stay was the ridiculously priced lunch and dinners. The plate of samples presented, though excellently cooked and presented, was not worth the price! I am not a big eater and prefer smaller portions, but this was taking the £%@@.

Very enjoyable stay at the Nailcote Hall Hotel. There was a wedding on the same night we stayed, however our room was far enough away that we weren't disturbed. Really nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Our son has moved to Kenilworth so we will definitely stay here again when visiting him.

We stayed here as a stopover on our way to London, and although impressive from the outside, the hotel was really rundown and shabby. The room wasn't particularly clean, with dust on the skirting boards and bedhead, a tip to a water bottle and tea bag under the dresser, and hair in the shower to name a few problems. The breakfast and dinner were delicious if a tad pricey, and the gym and pool were great (just wish we had time to use them) but we wouldn't come back, sorry!

Not enough staff
Service was great when we checked it but after that they were catering more to wedding guests. If you book the hotel try and avoid the place if they have a wedding scheduled for that period. They do not have enough staff to look after everyone. We stayed for 2 nights and didnt even get our room cleaned. I was with my kids and wasnt happy about it. I went reception to ask but no one came to clean.

Just loved it here. Staff were so friendly & exceptionally helpful, room comfortable. Food in bar area was delicious - club sandwich & Prosecco. Pool is good but sadly jacuzzi not open. Only downside was ladies changing area by pool - bit musty. Everything else was great.
