Une très bon gite.
L’accueil était bon, le logement comme il se doit : propre, confortable, spacieux. Le bémol vient du petit déjeuner, le pain très mauvais, et j'ai constaté que les fruits servis au petit déjeuner étaient couverts de mouches en cuisine ... Le coin n'est pas le meilleur du Costa Rica, mais nous a permis de faire une belle étape et surtout un repas dans le village des plus corrects pour pas cher. Nos voisins de chambre ont eu la chance de voir un paresseux dans le jardin.

Petit paradis au milieu de la forêt tropicale. Les casitas sont isolées les unes des autres et décorées avec goût. Le site est calme et on peut dormir les fenêtres ouvertes car il y a des moustiquaires.

Les chambres/chalets étaient magnifiques avec une vue incroyable. Excellent déjeuners avec un bel observatoire d'oiseaux. Un must si vous êtes dans la region.

Nice hotel well located to visit rio celeste
The hotel is really nice but we would advice asking any other room than room number 2 which is located beside the toilets and the lobby. Also others guests would come on the terrasse in front of the window. There is no privacy at all !

Paradisiaque
Lodges charmants décorés avec gout et situés dans un endroit EXCEPTIONNEL. Nous avons vu d'avantage d'animaux (singes, paresseux, oiseaux) en ce lieu que partout ailleurs. Le lieu du petit déjeuner est fantastique et offre une vue pareil à un tableau vivant : nature luxuriante et oiseaux multicolores (toucans, colibris etc...).Petit problème de chasse d'eau mais aucun regret.

Merci pour venir à rester avec nous. Il est merveilleux que vous avez apprécié l'avifaune ici et que vous étiez en mesure de voir beaucoup d'animaux. Nous travaillons dur pour faire en sorte que tout le monde a un bon séjour. Merci pour vos commentaires au sujet d'un problème dans la salle de bain. La question a été résolue lorsque vous êtes ici et nous avons depuis pas eu d'autres problèmes. Merci pour vos commentaires genre, ce fut un plaisir de vous accueillir.

The staff was wonderful and so was the breakfast. The balcony overlooking the garden was also wonderful. Monkeys were in the trees when we arrived. Short drive to the national park.

Casitas Tenorio is an amazing place. Designed to stimulate your curiosity and then have answers to your questions. The common area has field guides, atlases, and all kinds of information to enhance your stay. We'd spot amazing wildlife and then try to find them in the guides. The farm tour was fantastic, and the food quality. Michelle in particular was wonderful and kind. I've already recommended it to several friends.

Perfect B&B in a beautiful spot!
Casitas Tenorio B&B is an amazing place! Our room was simple yet prefect! The breakfast was great. We really enjoyed the farm tour as well. The hospitality was superb. Nana and the rest of the staff were all very friendly and gave us great advice about things in the area and throughout CR, we highly recommend this location.

We had an amazing stay at Casitas Tenorio. Wish we had more than 1 day but we were just passing through. I would advise to stay at least 2-3 days. There is a lot to do and the village offers good dining options. We took the property hike at sunset and it was so beautiful. We also hiked to the the waterfall Rio Celeste about 20 min away from the property. Highly recommend that just be prepared for lots of steps. The staff were fantastic and the casita was perfect. We slept to the sounds of the forest and we woke up by the monkeys at 4:45…LOL we we didn’t mind. The breakfast was as delicious. The stay was absolutely perfect. We would love to come back.

Wir hatten ein sehr schönes Zimmer mit wunderbarem Ausblick auf den angrenzen Wald. Besonders gut gefallen hat uns auch der private Trail mit einem kleinen Aussichtspunkt. Der Aufenthaltsbereich war ebenfalls sehr schön gestaltet und man konnte beim Essen noch ein wenig einen Blick in die Bäume genießen. Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und sehr lecker. Der Service war sehr freundlich!

Casita Tenorio is in a section of Costa Rica that feels like the old Costa Rica use to be. The people are friendly and it’s not over developed. We had a family of 5 howler monkeys greet us in the trees next to our casita. It was wonderful. Casita Tenorio is a nice quiet place to unwind and enjoy nature. I highly recommend this property.

Favorite spot in Costa Rica!
Casitas Tenarios was amazing! It was our first stay in Costa Rica and our favorite. Nana and Michelle were so friendly and hospitable. We loved our casita. The property was beautiful. We saw howler monkeys and toucans came down during breakfast. Walter (a young weekend worker) took us on a tour of the farm. We fed the goats and milked a cow. It was truly amazing. I wish we stayed here longer.

This was our 1st time to Costa Rica and the 1st place we were staying. On our arrival we were greeted by Nana (Manager) and she spent 20 minutes with us telling us about the casita's, local restaurants, tours, vegetation and wildlife. The casita's are private, clean and roomy. There is a common area that you are welcome to use 24/7, they have games and books that you can borrow and a gift shop. We highly recommend buying the locally made jam. We were able to watch about 10 Howler Monkeys playing in the trees one afternoon, 2 sloths were right outside our casita and we saw a Tucan. The staff is very friendly and always available to help. There is a gate at the entrance that is closed after 7 but guests are given a fob so they can come and go as they please. Very secure and safe. Great little hike at the property. The road up to the B&B is very bumpy, while a 4X4 is not needed be careful if you are driving a car. It is a 5 minute drive from hanging bridges. About 15 minutes to Jungle Life (see sloths, frogs, Toucans). About 25 minutes to Rio Celeste. We would recommend eating at La Choza de Maiz. There are a couple grocery stores in Town (about 5 min drive). Great little place to relax and really feel like you are in the jungle.

Our stay at Casitas Tenorio was simply lovely! The property is beautiful - so remote and lush. We loved the walking trail and even spotted some howler monkeys along the way. Nana and the whole staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast with the birds and squirrels was delightful! Will definitely be back 😃

Pros- Nicest doggos- whisky and bingo Breakfast was delicious and changed Option to get takeaway delivered to you and you can eat on the balcony of your casitas which we loved. Quiet and secluded. Area was nice- quite local and non touristy Casitas was clean and had a lot of amenities that were well thought about- umbrellas, bug spray, disinfectant, some toiletries, swinging chairs on balcony which we loved. Lovely gift shop Cons- Can't be helped because there was storm but we had no hot water or electricity for an evening and early morning. It didn't bother us and we still showered and got a brilliant breakfast so we were happy. The whole town had no power! Road is quite bumpy but again can't be helped. You may want a higher clearance vehicles for some parts but we saw locals in low sedans go up so I'm sure it would be fine!

WOW. This was our favorite stay in Costa Rica, and quite frankly any tropical destination we've been to. The rooms are out of this world surrounded by nature in which we saw a sloth, howler monkey, and a toucan amongst other birds by simply walking the grounds of the hotel. Very clean, comfortable and tidy. I wish I could live there full time. Breakfast is wonderful with such nice views of animals and birds that come by to eat the bananas. We saw many species of birds. The staff are kind and caring in pure Costa Rican pleasure, and the owner is clearly passionate and genuine in caring for your comfort. Location is great to explore Rio Celeste and Volcano Tenorio Park. We drove in from Liberia airport and it was a good normal drive in. We also ate at a few local restaurants and had our best meals while in Costa Rica there - genuine authentic food. Be sure to pack for a purpose at this hotel, by bringing a few gently used or new items to donate to the local school children - super easy to do, and a great way to give back! The photos do not do this place justice. Incredible getaway. A rural luxury. The rooms were beautiful and the main lodge was picturesque. Only downside is that the wifi doesn’t work in the rooms but that is OK! It gives you a chance to get away. Oh, the road there is very rough so be prepared.

This is incredibly well maintained, sparkling clean and absolutely lovely. The staff, farm tour, and bird watching from breakfast were highlights. So were the monkeys waiting to greet us upon arrival in the trees behind our house.

Fresh off of a flight from the US, I have to admit we were taken aback when we first arrived at Las Casitas Tenorio. “Nana” checked us in and kept switching paths to our casita saying there were coral snakes obstructing the way. We were also jumpy at the amount of bugs in our casita. That said, it is a magical place with howler monkeys swinging in the trees above your head, a nature channel’s worth of bird viewing at breakfast, lovely informative interactions with the amazing staff, and a sloth hanging out in the tree above our car. DO NOT miss the Tapir Valley night tour led by the property’s endearing owner, Donald, and his precocious daughter. By the end of our 4 day stay, we were cured of a lifetime of phobia towards bugs, snakes and other creepy crawlers. Also, make sure you do the following day activities: whitewater tubing at Rio Celeste (with Onca Tours), the Tree Chocolate Tour, hiking the Tenorio volcano and the hanging bridges.

This is an absolute gem of a property and I would urge anyone visiting Costa Rica to make Casitas Tenorio part of their trip - it's such a lovely, authentic experience with wonderful staff, beautiful rooms and a idyllic setting. We saw SO much wildlife during our stay there. The living area with its open balcony to the forest is an incredible spot to watch the wildlife whilst eating breakfast or drinking coffee. The property has a trail where we saw a sloth. The farm on the property serves up fresh milk for breakfast and my kids loved the experience of visiting the farm and milking the cows. The staff are fantastic and incredibly helpful - we met Donald the owner who took us the most fabulous nature tour at his other business, the Tapir Valley Nature Reserve (you must do this if you stay here). I cannot recommend this B&B more highly. It really was the absolute highlight of our trip and my only regret was that we didn't stay here longer.

This unique property is nestled in the jungle with individual casitas privately located throughout the grounds. Our casita was completely surrounded by jungle and we were able to watch birds and howler monkeys from our deck. The casita was comfortable and nicely furnished. We were far enough from the main house for privacy but also close enough for a quick walk over to watch the birds from the lobby and get on the wifi. Great place, nice people, lots of wildlife!

Loved our stay. The kids really enjoyed the farm tour (did it twice!) and the whole place has little things for the family to do. Super clean, big rooms and the staff was super friendly.

The property was spotless with gorgeous picturesque windows and gardens. The beds were comfy and the showers were one of the best. Pip, Donald and all the other staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. There was also a nice trail on the property that takes you through a piece of jungle with nice views. The gardens and surrounding area was one of he best features and in the lobby you could sit and watch the wildlife, where we saw gorgeous birds and even a sloth

Wow! This place is exactly what we were looking for when we planned to travel to Costa Rica. The casitas are adorable! Ours had a private deck that faced the jungle garden. There was a sloth visable from our deck and we lost count of the number of bird varieties at the banana feeder. Amazing!
