The sunrise the sunrise the sunrise! Great amenities and accommodations. We were all super comfy after a long 3 day drive. Get up for the sunrise and coffee (they have provided). We stayed with our two kids and dog.
The Bunkhouse is at an incredible scenic location on a very cool and well kept property. Loved our stay. Few things to improve on; there were a fair amount of moths roaming around the bunkhouse. Not an infestation level event, but enough that I accidentally brought one to old faithful inn in my luggage. Also, a rail on the top bunk would have been handy for our young kids at night.
We loved our stay at the bunkhouse. It has a beautiful view and it well stocked. Itâs not far from both - the crazy mountains for great hiking, and the lovely town of big timber where we had a pickle pepperoni pizza!
The property was perfect. It was clean, functional, and inviting. I would have liked to stay a week. The setting is beautiful and serene. The bunkhouse was charming with a great layout.
Loved the Bunkhouse, small exterior but more space than expected. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful view of the Crazy Mountains. Hope to be back in the area in the future and would book the Bunkhouse again!
We were in town for a wedding and absolutely loved staying in the bunkhouse! It is in a beautiful and peaceful spot. Laticia is very responsive and very helpful! We will absolutely be staying here again when we are over that direction. Thank you for such a great stay!
I think this is my favorite of all the VRBO rentals we've done over the years. Certainly my favorite in the Big Timber area!
The "Bunkhouse" is about 6 miles from downtown Big Timber. Four of those miles are on a gravel road, but it's a good condition gravel road. It's on a working cattle and horse ranch, surrounded by other ranches. Rather scenic for ranch land, with gentle rolling hills and groves of trees.
It has a nice rock driveway that keeps your shoes clean even if it's raining. The cabin has a nice grass yard. There is a drainage ditch separating the cabin yard from the owners' home.
We did most of our cooking on the small Weber gas grill. The grill is big enough to grill two large steaks or four large burgers. For a grill with a single burner, it cooks more evenly than I expected.
The owners gave us privacy, but they were very friendly when we walked over to talk with them. Nathan tipped his hat when he shook my wife's hand, which really impressed her.
Despite our exteme lateness in getting to the Bunkhouse (3:30 am) due to unforeseen travel glitches, we loved our brief stay overnight. Everything is sparkling clean and comfortable. Outdoors, you'll be greeted by a sunken green lawn area and rolling green hills across the road. It's a bit of a drive over a dirt road outside the town of Big Timber, but your'e rewarded by a cozy dwelling at the end. We'd gladly stay again if we arrived while it was light enough to enjoy the stay!
This was my best experience with Vrbo! I want to say it was awful just so nobody else books it so I can have it to myself!!! The communication with the owner was almost instantaneous. The Cabin was extremely clean, exactly as described. Itâs a little closer to the gravel road than I was expecting, but I spent a lot of time on the front porch and I think I saw three cars go by so not an issue. There were plenty of towels. The bed was very comfortable.A++++++
Stayed here with my daughter on the way to visit my son in Bozeman. The bunkhouse was very clean and very comfortable. Our dog was excited to see some dog friends there to welcome him :) It was very convenient to take the dog for an early morning walk right out the front door and watch the sun rise. We would stay here again for sure!
Nice quiet and cozy place about 3 miles outside of town. Very secluded, very comfortable. We loved the dog welcoming committee. The first night was good, however the second night a raccoon had chewed through the power line on the pole so we had no electricity for lights OR water. The property has a well with a pump so we had no way to shower the next morning or (even worse) flush the toilet. This was not a situation the host could have avoidedâŠ. SeriouslyâŠ.a raccoon? Ha. Iâm not sure the cost of a generator but it sure would have been nice that night!
We had fun staying in the bunkhouse property and examining all the creative accessories added to its ambiance. The horse trough shower and wooden refrigerator were unique additions. The swamp cooler kept us cool at night and the accommodation had everything we needed for our stay. It takes a little persistence to get there on the gravel road but very much worth the trip!
Great location for a quiet and relaxing getaway. The cabin is super clean and the hosts are accessible and accommodating for any needs. Couldnât have asked for a better experience. Would definitely recommend this location and will likely be returning in the future.
