« The house is in a great location for accessing the Coastal Path- north and south there are great walks. Angela is a helpful host and the check in process was very easy. Unlike many other local properties we were able to book a two night stay which was great for us Our bed was very comfortable Lovely seat in the front garden for morning sun and sea views. The back garden has some pretty flowers and is a great place for late afternoon sun when the front is in shade, but we didn’t have any garden...

« We’ve been staying in Northumberland for the past 19 years and Snowdrop Cottage was by far the best accommodation we’ve stayed in. Decor, facilities and location were all 5 star. »

« We love this part of the Northumberland coast and visit regularly, and we did have a good time. I do think this cottage is overpriced for the quality of accommodation. The kitchen and main bedroom are very nice but the rest is a little tired. The furniture is miss matched flat pack and the bedding is of poor quality. One of the sofas is very uncomfortable (kids said like their student digs) the curtains are far too thin and don’t keep the cold out, we had to buy a lot of wood to keep the lounge...

A great position to trek out from - so near to Cragside National Trust, which is a must! We also visited Wallington & Gibside NT & Holy Island. « The house was mostly comfortable but needs some upkeep. The communication with the host was a challenge and they did not reply to most messages (even an acknowledgment of receipt would be okay). One of the showers we could not adjust the temperature, 2 of the showers had mold. One of the biggest challenges was trying to cook as the cookware is very worn and some of it unusable. It would be nice to have a few basic essentials such as salt and pepper and hand soap upon arrival to get things...

The kitchen was a great size with a breakfast bar for dining and the toilet/shower room was of a very high standard. The location was great and access to the town and beach was less than a couple of minutes walk, there is a parking space within the confines of the property and ample outdoor dining space if needed. « Stayed fir 3 nights. With 10 adults. Lovley big house. Plently of room Comfortable beds. Some paintwork a.bit.shabby which was a shame. Only down side was it stated a clockroom i thought that.meant a downstairs toilet but it was just a place eto hang coats. This was difficult as some of the party was eldery and found the stairs difficult to navigate, butmon the whole we had a great.time. »

« Castle view is an outstanding property to rent. All the rooms are so spacious with excellent facilities. The kitchen area was very impressive and well equipped. The views from the property were stunning. There were ten of us in the party 6 adult and four children aged between 10 and 6 years and not forgetting a family dog. The outside space was perfect for the adults and children. We had to keep an eye on the dog when outside though as he could quite easily scale the low wall around the garden...
