Lake James Beauty
This tiny cabin is adorable and perfect for 2 adults. What a great location for water fun and mountain hiking. We would come again:). I’m not sure how 6 people would do, perhaps if 4 are small children. Note that the loft is not big enough for an adult to sit up. This did not matter for us. We loved this cabin.

We were living our best life here, hiking close by in the morning, then hanging out in the water for the afternoon. It was a wonderful location and had all the amenities you would need on the lake! We had a great time!

Unpretentious Lake Vacay
The host for this property is outstanding. She was communicative and accommodating to our needs. The lake part of this property is unmatched. You won’t be disappointed by the private beach and dock, water toys, and views. The one drawback is the size of the sleeping quarters. I believe the listing says it can sleep 6. I would say it can sleep two adults and two small children. If you’re a couple or small family you’ll love this property. We enjoyed our stay with two adults and our pup.

Little Slice of Heaven on Lake James
We loved our week at this little lakeside cabin. AC worked great, the mattress was exceedingly comfortable (unlike many rentals we’ve experienced where the owners do not replace often enough), the Wi-Fi worked well, and the grounds are spacious and comfortable. There are multiple outdoor sitting areas: on the covered porch in case of rain, chairs around the fire pit, and our favorite was the seating on the private beach! And, if you don’t feel like cooking you are just a 1 minute walk from the Marina restaurant. I would highly recommend this special property to friends looking for a Lake James retreat. Major plus: It’s one of the few if not only lakeside rentals that allows dogs! We got to meet Kim briefly and she was warm and welcoming. Don’t hesitate to book!

180 degree water views at cabin
We can't wait to rent this property again. at the end of a quiet street with water views on both sides. lovely dock for the boat. sandy, clean, shallow swimming beach great for dogs or small children. kitchen and grill equip with everything we needed to cook all of our meals. most accommodating owner - most!! loved Lake James with all the gorgeous views.

Loved having a last minute vacation (with our 4-legged child) where we could fish, make a fire, grill, go boating if we wanted to, etc. Was a fun property with lots of options for activities. Would like to visit again.

Great Place on the Lake!
My family and I had a great time at this wonderful lakeside cabin. Everything was as advertised, dock and outdoor area excellent. Close to great little beaches and fishing if you have your own boat. My kids had a blast running around the property and tending the awesome fire pit. Additionally, amazing wildlife. Even saw otters in NC in the wild for the first time ever! -Colby

House was small but clean and well stocked. Two of us were cozy in the house but any more would have been tight. 4 separate sitting areas outside: a sand beach, boat dock, firepit and picnic area. We had good weather and enjoyed them all. Wonderful hiking and biking trails a short drive away.

A Little Slice of Heaven
This is one of our favorite vacation spots! This was our 3rd time staying here and it always exceeds our expectations! The outdoor space is absolutely amazing and off-season it is very peaceful and quiet. The fire pit, beach area and access to paddle boards and kayaks makes the stay so much fun! We always plan a day or two on the boat and see amazing sunsets! If you ever need anything or have questions, the Owner is quick to respond and takes care of any issues immediately. Highly recommended!!!

Perfect Lake Getaway
This cabin was exactly what we were looking for. We wanted a place for just my husband and I versus a big expensive large family lake house. This fit the bill perfectly. There are a bunch of different places to hang out outside, which is what we love! The setting is lovely and pretty private. The house was clean and the bed comfortable. I definitely plan to return!

Great mini vacation
We absolutely loved our mini vacation at Bear Cliff. The cabin was perfect and had everything we needed. We especially love the outdoor area and the beach. We could easily park our boat and jet ski in the sand. My kids had fun fishing off the dock. There was nothing more we could have asked for. We will defiantly be back soon.

Mini lake getaway
My husband and I and our two dogs enjoyed our mini getaway! We loved the private beach access with paddle boat and kayaking. The cabin was cozy. The marina restaurant was a very short walk and had great food, too.

Magical spot on the lake!
Hard to leave this magical spot on the lake. From the strings of lights, firepit, kayaks, paddle boards, private beach, dock, porch, expansive water views - it was absolutely perfect! The space itself is small for four adults, but we spent most of our time enjoying the outdoors. ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!

Great Weekend Getaway
Super spot to chill out for a long weekend. The house was very comfortable for the two of us and had everything we needed. Kayaked on the lake, read on the dock and at the beach, swam at the beach. Enjoyed sunrise and sunset and everything in between. A great weekend!

Christmas Vacation
This place is amazing we are from Miami Florida and spent 4 wonderful days, the cabin has everything you need it is neat clean and comfortable , friendly neighbors you hardly see them it is a very quiet and relaxing place if you want to get out of the city routine. We even got to see deers late at night from our bedroom window and the owner quickly responded to our questions I will definitely recommend this place. Thank you Kimberly!!

The property is in a great location. Quiet and secluded on the lake with access to a dock. We saw deer each morning we were there, just hanging around the cabin. The manager was also great. Told her we were celebrating my wife's birthday, so she added birthday decorations to the Christmas decor as well. Would definitely return if we have another opportunity. Thank you!

quiet retreat
The cabin was just what I was looking for - right on the lake with hardly anyone else around. These were chilly November weekdays, so I imagine that wouldn't be true in the summer. Having use of kayak was great, and the sunrise over the lake was beautiful. The cabin was very clean and cozy, rather small but perfect for me.

We had a great time on vacation at this Lake side cabin! It was very clean, neat, and homey. The pictures don't really do it justice. We will be returning one Summer to enjoy the lake activities. This time, we just enjoyed the view and the campfires. We had the sunrise on our side of the lake and the the sunset was nearby as well. It was just gorgeous. We also enjoyed the nearby wildlife! I highly recommend this cabin and not to forget, our host... She was very responsive to all our questions and needs! Cannot wait to go back.

Perfect family getaway
Kimberly was an amazing host! We felt welcomed immediately upon arriving (no spoilers)! The property and all of its amenities kept our family busy for our entire stay. Kimberly went above and beyond with all of our requests, which helped to make our family getaway a perfect retreat filled with fun and new experiences. Having a big tv with satellite stations and wifi meant that our teenagers could watch all of their football games and listen to their favorite music when they were not paddle boarding, kayaking and fishing! Thanks Kimberly. We will be back!

Property is located close to the Marina. Lots of drive by traffic not very private. Cabin was older but clean and maintained. View was nice. Communication was poor with property manager. AC unit is right behind headboard in bedroom. I would look elsewhere unless you're looking for a place that allows pets.

We were so excited to check in, but TS Fred had other ideas! When the power went out early the first morning, Kimberly stayed in touch with us and graciously refunded the next two nights once we found out power/water would not be restored until late that evening. We will DEFINITELY go back so we can enjoy the beautiful setting and all the amenities!

Little piece of paradise
This cabin was exactly as described. Communication was excellent with Kim very quick to respond. Pictures does not do this property justice. It’s like being on your own Caribbean island with a beach of your own. We did not stay nearly long enough to be able to enjoy the kayaks or paddle boats due to other obligations. Definitely a must see. A+++++ Highly recommend

My family and I had SUCH a wonderful time at Kimberly's cabin on Lake James! She is such a kind and thoughtful host; went above and beyond to ensure we had a great getaway. Can't say enough wonderful things about the location and the cabin. The private beach was fantastic, and all the water toys kept us active every day. Kimberly has EVERYTHING you need for water fun--life jackets, oars, paddle boards, kayaks, floating "lily pad", pedal boat, etc. HIGHLY recommend! We are already planning a trip back next summer! :)

Awesome property with an amazing host!
This host keeps this property in immaculate condition . It is extremely clean. The location is really close to the Bear Creek marina ,which is great for gas, dining and night life. The host frequently will contact you to make sure your stay is a five star stay. It is a small cabin so only bring people you really like!!!

We’ve stayed here before and very much enjoyed it again. Not the owner’s fault but want them to be aware: The neighbor was cutting down lots of trees that sent a LOT debris into the water which was frustrating but again, not the owner’s fault.
