« April 8th the Total Solar Eclipse & it was our 40th anniversary! We brought the entire family together from Salt Lake City, New Orleans, & Nashville. The house is amazing & prefect. The fireplace patio is fabulous & the dock is phenomenal! The weather on the day of the eclipse was beautiful w/ clear blue skies for awesome viewing from the dock! Thank you for sharing you home with us. »

« We had a very nice stay in this house. The setting was gorgeous in early spring. Our group size was smaller than anticipated but it worked out well -- room for everyone around the kitchen table, rocking chairs for all on the covered porch. The only thing that would have made the experience better would be to have received the directions (and the warning about what Google or Apple Maps would likely get wrong) a day earlier. »

« We stayed at Dripping Springs Retreat for the total eclipse of the sun and it was so worth it. The extra large front yard was the perfect location for eclipse viewing. We did have an issue with gas for the grill but we called and they brought us another tank of gas on a Sunday night what good service. »

« We came to the area for sightseeing, fishing and trails, which were great. To my delight we were in the middle of an amateur birdwatcher's heaven. I spotted at least 15 different kinds of birds, the biggest being an Eagle that landed about 20 feet from us, grabbed his breakfast and flew off. There was nothing more peaceful than having my morning coffe on the deck above the river. I will definitely be back!! »

« Nice relaxing weekend on the water for our 6th annual men’s fishing trip. Every amenity you could think of & great fishing from the dock. Plenty of room for everyone during the stay. »

« This is a very clean and comfortable cabin, perfect for a visit to Mountain View and close to downtown music, shopping, and restaurants. We just had a bit of trouble finding the cabin at first, because it is actually located a couple of blocks away from the listed address. Some simple directions would have been appreciated! But we were quite happy with our stay. »

« My wife and I stayed at the Avondale House in early April when the total solar eclipse occurred. It was the perfect place to stay for that event. During the entire week, we saw no one other than a few boaters on the river. If peace and solitude matter to you, then this is the place. Outside the house, large trees surround the yard leading down to the river. « I had such a wonderful stay in this beautiful cabin. The location is beautiful, and I felt comfortable and safe while enjoying the peace and quiet. The property manager was so kind and helpful. I enjoy fishing, and this cabin is located near several good fishing sites, while having a very nice dock practically attached to the cabin. I hope to visit again soon and would 100% recommend this cabin to anyone needing a relaxing getaway! »

« We were in town for the Folk Festival and had a great weekend. The owners are next door and were quick to answer any questions we had. The bath is very tiny, which wasnt a problem, but be aware that the only sink & mirror is in the kitchenette. The map indicates the cabin is right behind the courthouse and thats the main reason we chose it because we could walk around the main part of town and not worry about parking. But the location is actually several blocks away. It is a walkable distance...
