« L'accueil dans cet hôtel qui fait aussi pub et restaurant est très chaleureux. Les chambres sont assez spacieuse et la literie confortable, même si cela semble un peu vieillot...(c'est peu être à la mode en Angleterre..?) Toutefois, pour ce tarif on y est bien mieux que dans une chaine d'hôtel style F1... Bref pour un séjour sans se ruiner sur Durham et sa région, je recommande vivement cet hôtel ! »

« The Hen House cottage was a great place to stay for our trip in the Durham area. The village of Brandon is a beautiful location for going for walks in the countryside and with a great pub/ restaurant called the Bay Horse Inn on 50m away it’s a perfect place to stay. The village is very close to the historic house, chapels and gardens of Ushaw and Brancepeth Castle, which are both excellent places to visit!! Would happily stay here again when visiting the area as it’s a perfect little...

« We had an absolutely wonderful time here. The Bothy was perfectly decorated and set up for a wonderful stay. The location could not have been better with the ability to walk to the Aysgarth Falls and Bolton Castle, and to embark upon longer drives and hikes throughout the Dales. Great walks from the door with neighbouring Kirkby Stephen easily accessed by foot path or car for shopping. Ample parking space that is easy to access. Quiet. We very much enjoyed our stay »

« Lovely comfortable cottage with a fabulous view from the lounge balcony with afternoon and evening sun. No personal touch or welcome gift. Front yard full of weeds and plants blocking light into two snug windows. Would have been nice to use that space for a seat outside in the morning sunshine as the kitchen is perfectly placed through the front door. Locals lovely. Lots of pubs and shops. Great places to explore in the area. »

"Grosse déception concernant la piscine notamment ! Nous avons réservé cet hôtel principalement pour ça et malgré un hôtel annoncé family friendly, nous apprenons en arrivant à 17:30 que les enfants sont interdits à partir de 18:00 (ils ont même semblé hésité à nous laisser entrer et sont venus avant 18h dire qu'il fallait sortir) mais qu'ils y ont de nouveau accès de 8 à 10 le matin, en plein sur le créneau du petit déjeuner. Mettre le réveil pendant les vacances pour déjeuner en vitesse dans la chambre pour profiter un minimum de la piscine n'est pas ce à quoi on s'attend... Je leur ai signalé notre grande déception et l'absence d'informations concernant ces horaires : nous avons eu les traditionnelles excuses infos manager donc peu satisfaisant. Les parties communes sont vieillissantes et le personnel peu agréable, à l'exception du monsieur à l'accueil de la piscine qui était adorable. La chambre était rénovée et spacieuse quoique sombre pour celle avec le lit simple. La pression de l'eau dans la salle de bains est un vrai problème Les extérieurs sont agréables et le bâtiment est absolument magnifique "
