  • Un endroit merveilleux pour une escapade reposante et tranquille. De grandes fenêtres dans cette maison de 2 chambres propre et récente offrent une vue proche et lointaine à travers les charmants bois mixtes de pin, de sapin et d'érable qui offrent la paix et l'intimité. Détendez-vous dans les meubles confortables sur la pelouse - choisissez le soleil ou l'ombre. Choisissez des poignées de bleuets sauvages indigènes dans votre propre champ de bleuets!

    Il y a 2 chambres gaies, une avec lit queen, une avec lit double. 1 salle de bain complète et 1 demi-bain répondront confortablement à tous vos besoins. Le salon est ensoleillé et gai avec de belles vues sur les bois. La cuisine est entièrement équipée avec des ustensiles de cuisine et de la vaisselle pour votre propre cuisson du homard du Down-East! Les portes de terrasse de 8 pieds de hauteur apportent beaucoup de lumière, et juste à l'extérieur se trouve un barbecue à gaz de qualité, une table d'extérieur, des chaises et un parapluie. Les appareils comprennent une cuisinière, un four grille-pain, un réfrigérateur, un four micro-ondes, un grille-pain, une cafetière, une laveuse / sécheuse, une télévision avec câble et lecteur DVD, un système de musique stéréo CD / MP3.

This beautiful cottage was the perfect headquarters for our trip to Acadia! It was clean, quiet, cozy, and within 15 minutes of everything on Mt. Desert Isle! We lived being away from the crazy traffic of Bar Harbor. And the hosts have a beautiful property and garden! Our kid loved the upstairs "lookout tower". If we ever make our way back downeast, we'll look to stay here again!

Family trip

Our family of 4 enjoyed the quiet of Acadia Haven. Close enough to be easy access to the National Park and Bar Harbor but far enough to be away from the hustle and crowds. Our kids loved the room upstairs.

Great place to stay on the "quiet side" of Mt. Desert Island, which we prefer. The cottage had plenty of room and was well furnished. The Demers were good hosts.

This property was centrally located to all attractions. It was a whole house in a beautiful, woodsy, quiet setting, well stocked with everything you could possibly need during your stay there. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed!

Acadia stay August 2024

We enjoyed our stay very much. The sunroom was our favorite room. The house was great for the most part. There were a few minor items that needed attention like window shades and toilet seat but overall this was a great place to stay to be close to all the sights and shopping in Bar Harbor/Acadia.

House was quiet and in the woods feeling. We enjoyed the fire pit and firewood was furnished for one night but there were plenty of firewood sellers along the highways to buy more. Toiletries were minimal. Might bring your own. It was warm during our visit and black fly season evidently. Screens on the upstairs windows would be helpful to keep that space cool. It was pretty warm upstairs. It was located very well in relation to visiting the park and Bar Harbor

Peaceful and lovely home in the setting of surrounding woods. Steve was an amazing host! Responsive and quick to make sure we had whatever we asked for. Perfect location to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Super host!

Steve was great to deal with. The property was clean, bright, and quiet. It's a 12-minute, easy drive to Bar Harbor, that allows you to avoid the in-season crowds, while providing access to restaurants and shopping.

A Perfect Base to Launch Your Acadia Adventure

The cottage is bright and airy; beautiful custom construction awaits you inside. A wonderful spot to return to after a day outdoors. A good vacation lodging is not be the star of the show but should subtly enhance your holiday. Acadia Haven does just that. As a bonus Steve and Rose are lovely hosts.

Nice stay

Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home, It was a nice quiet area back in the woods. It was located not to far from Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor and very close to Acadia National Park. Cozy Acadia Home

Everything went very well. The home was very well equipped, in fact had more than we expected. We had no problems with checkin, coming and going, and communicating with the owners (who only lived next door). The home was very private (which we loved), yet not far from the activities we engaged in during our stay. Highly recommended and will definitely find this place again any time we go back to Acadia.

Great location-remote but close to Bar Harbor and Acadia

The "cottage is probably a half mile off a major road. Road to the cottage goes through the forest. Far enough off road that no road noise. The owners...Rose and Steve in the "Main House" only a minute away. Woods just behind the cottage. Picnic table with umbrella and gas grill just outside.Lots of windows so nice views. About 15 minutes from Bar Harbor and Park entrance....so remote cottage setting but neighbors nearby.... but close to everything.

Quiet, comfortable, and relaxing

We spent much of our time in the cottage, since the weather was dreary and we were not feeling well. The place is very relaxing and has many amenities that added to the experience - organ, books, and games, sunroom, etc. We were initially perplexed by the mini counter-top oven, but were able to make nice meals and now want one of our own. The downstairs bed was very comfy, and the shower was hot and powerful. We can imagine how beautiful the gardens will be in the summer. We traveled with our 18 month old. After a bit of babyproofing, the upstairs bedroom was perfect for his play and naptimes. We look forward to coming back again.

Quiet but handy

This lovely home located in the woods outside of town was perfectly situated for easy access to not only the carriage roads near Eagle Lake, but also to many other great trails, as well as routes to downtown Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor and Northeast Harbor. At the end of your adventures, you can relax in peace, surrounded by beautiful gardens.

Central location, nice property

The house is on the same property as another rental and the owner’s house but there is plenty of space and the location is close to everything we wanted to do on Mount Desert Island. We weren’t able to personally meet the owners but it’s clear they put a lot of thought and care into their property. Would definitely recommend!

Love it here

This is the second time we stayed here and plan on a third visit in 2023. We love the location; quiet and woodsy yet close to everything. The house has everything you could need and is so comfortable. We love the yard, garden, porch, and having a washer and dryer. The owners are terrific and helpful if you need them.
