« One or maybe the best hotel with pool at the beach in Arumgambay. The rooms are rather small and basic but OK compared to other places. A fridge would be a nice addition though. The bathroom is also small and basic, and we had a lot of ants the first days (but that is kinda everywhere). The WIFI was "so-so" but that was kinda everywhere in Sri Lanka (better off buying a SIM-card). The service and staff was excellent and everyone was helpfull and service-minded. « Excellent value for accommodation. Grocery shops, restaurants and acess to the beach are all within a few steps from the hotel. Plus, it is situated in the quieter strip of the beach. I would have no hesitation to stay at Balaji if I were to visit Arugam Bay again. Highly recommend! »

« Quoted about $150 on expedia but management wouldn't accept the price and was charged $275. Breakfast was terrible, mainly toast and jam. No clean linen or towels. Wifi hardly worked and in the mornings had to wait to wake up the "chef" to have breakfast. So don't book early morning tours. »
